If he gets by Stipe and Blaydes which he probably will, he can probably run a gamut over the division for years and make a lot of cash. HW is an absolute wasteland.

Good question, what's the UFC HW title defence record? is it 6? Maybe that's too much for Jones. I think he just wants to claim to be the greatest of all-time by most people/pundits and than he'll retire.

I'm thinking if I'm Jones, I stay at HW until the wheels fall off because the division is filled with cans and Jon is probably making more per fight now than he ever has in his career. The division is all his.

Yeah if he stays for awhile, I'd love that. I'd love to see Jones fight the crop of HW's in this division.

I think he retires, don't think he has any interest in high risk low reward fights against Blaydes, Pavlovich or Aspinal. Would be a shame, considering he'd only need two or three title defenses and could cement himself as the GOAT in two different divisions as well as the all time P4P GOAT. It would be undenable even among the biggest haydurs.

After Stipe puts a hurting on him, both will retire

Can jones be p4p nr1 if he has the biggest reach in ufc? Literally he has advantage over everyone. P4p mean if attributes were same. This is not most important thing butbstill an advantage. We will never see him fight anyone equal in that regard.
Im not trying to belittle his skill ofx hes insanely good also. But just a thought i had regarding "p4p"

Let's just hope the Stipe vs Jones fight gets made and happens.

Pavlovich has pretty much the same reach.

I think it depends on his ego. If he beats Stipe, he can comfortably retire with a lot of money and a legacy that will likely never be matched. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to go all out and try to break that HW title defense record. It's not like it's that many fights, and I honestly struggle to see many of them giving him a hard time.

Obviously, Ngannou would have given him something to think about with his insane power, but that's not a worry since he's not in the UFC anymore. I could see someone like Aspinall maybe giving Jon some issues, but it's hard to say. Pavlovich and Blaydes don't have anything for Jones imo, I think they're both easy wins for Jon. With Blaydes, the worst-case scenario is that the wrestling is nullified, then Jon easily outstrikes him to a decision win. No way any of these guys are outwrestling Jon, and aside from Gane, I don't really see any of them outstriking him either.

it’s gonna have to be one hell of a run to make people forget about all the cheating

His cheating is so so in my eyes also . Once got popped for cocaine and other time it was 25 picograms, what wouldnt even be illegal these days. Its not like he was juiced to the gills like vitor or overeem

I think a win over Stipe is all he wants. It's enough to solidify him as the GOAT. He'll have legitimized his HW title with a defense over the UFC HW GOAT.

I assume he'll base it on how well he settles into being a HW. I'm sure he has some nagging injuries and such.
