Will Hendricks stop killing his body already and fight men his size?

The guy looked like a cancer patient last night. He is putting his body through hell for what? To get a competitive edge over other fighters? He's pretty much irrelevant at this weight now, so whatever he is doing clearly isn't working. Big Rigg is one of the biggest fall from grace stories in the UFC, second only to Jon Jones. Dana needs to force him up before he does some severe damage to himself, if he hasn't already.

I don't see him being successful at middleweight either though. I think he's one of those guys that peaked and declined very quickly.

He performed better than I expected. Gastelum is tough.

He should at least give it a shot. Fight a few MW scrubs and see whether he feels better at that weight.

He's only a few fights removed from whooping GSP and now he's having semi-competitive fights with...Kelvin Gastelum? He's no slouch, but he's no GSP, either.

GSP retired 32 months ago?

He has to fight at MW, or be cut. He can't make 170 consistently.

He's not really that big. He just needs to diet.

exactly. He just doesn't seem to be disciplined enough. MW is too big for him. He is fighting guys his size he's just paying to do it.

Uh the last two dudes he fought have been bigger than him and you want him to fight even bigger guys? lmao

He should probably just retire. He won the title. Lost it. His heart is no longer in it.

A 5 foot 9 man with a 69 inch reach competing at MW would be difficult

Johny "the mixed martial artist formerly known as Big Rig" Hendricks

I agree with you, but if you look at a guy like Thiago Alves we were all saying the same thing about him many years ago. He managed to make changes in his life that enabled him to compete at WW. Hendricks could do that too. He won't obviously, but he could.

He fought like he did in his first few fights. But this time his wrestling and clinch wasn't as good, and cardio too.

He is doing something wrong, and has to get back to what he once did. He has no one to train with and that also hurt him a lot.

He would get beat at MW, still can come back from this at WW since his best thing which is his chin is still there.

Reminding me slightly of Jake Ellenberger.
