Do you think Conor starts doing anything differently or working on his perceived weaknesses more?

Or do you think he is always working on everything equally and tailoring each camp to the style of his opponent? I would have figured that he would have been working extensively on his BJJ for a fight with Dos Anjos.. Maybe he did and him being rocked didnt allow him to show it.

So I wonder If he starts to work on his defensive technique standing more? his wrestling and BJJ more than he did in the past?

One Ido is obviously not enough.
He needs 2 Idos.

Lol people give him alot of shit about Ido Portal but the truth is that he only comes out like 2 weeks before the fight to keep Conor moving relaxed and free of hurting himself. Ido is hardly even there usually. Conors probably worked with him for like 30-40 days total

He'll come back better than ever IMO.

Sometimes losing is better for you. After he lost to Duffy, he came back better than ever. I'm sure he'll go back to work on his mistakes and he'll come back better. That's what a champion does.

Thats certainly what my boy Anthony Pettis needs to do

He really needs to work on his wrestling, his boxing and his ability to circle from the fence at the right times. He basically welcomes his opponent to push him back, I don't know why. It's really easy to push Pettis backwards and when you do, you take away A LOT of his game because he relies on his kicks mostly and his countering ability/his boxing in general could use a lot of work.

He's a great fighter, but if he keeps going like this, he'll never win the belt back. He really needs a boxing coach. Duke Rufous is a great striking coach, but Anthony needs somebody to REALLY help him with his boxing. It's not horrible, but it could definitely use a lot of work. It's improved over the years, clearly, but while moving backwards, he doesn't have much until he gets pushed to the fence and throws the right hand.

I found his 'fight' with Alvarez a little weird because he wasn't throwing any power in his punches at all. He was throwing them like.. half range, he wasn't pulling his punches all the way back and firing them off, he was doing them really short range and had literally nothing on them. He did that quite a bit against RDA, too. I'm not sure why he did it, but there was no power in them whatsoever. Maybe he was just scared of being taken down, but going into the fight with that in your head can really fuck your performance up.

If he goes in with the same mindset as Condit or Cerrone and has zero fear of the TD, he'd do better IMO. Sometimes he doesn't open up at all because of it. He's got great submissions but I feel Pettis starts do doubt himself sometimes, like.. he said he felt like quitting against RDA when RDA had the kimura just to stop the beating pretty much. Champions don't think like that. Nothing against Pettis, I'm no champion obviously, what do I know? I've never been in that moment, but that kind of thing can hold you back IMO.
