  • illwavybrooks86For those of you who have been asking when my next fight is... well, I'm not sure when the next will be but it will not be with the UFC but rather with the @profightleague in the Million Dollar tournament. I've been doing this for a while now and I understand the business side of it. I didn't do the job that was expected of me and like all jobs I was released, rightfully so. Unfortunately, I under performed with the UFC and didn't achieve the goal I wanted to with that opportunity. I regret nothing, I took a chance at something I wanted and came up short. The fighter/competitor in me is highly disappointed with myself for allowing things to get away from me. The UFC chapter is closed for now... I'd like to thank the UFC staff for treating me so well during my employment. From day one I was treated well and with respect. I appreciate that greatly.
Now with that being said, I am moving forward toward the next chapter. I'm extremely excited and fired up to be part of the @profighteague and their rebirth. The timing is perfect because I'm in my own rebirth process as well. As always I'm going to represent this organization as professionally as I possibly can. I look forward to being a pivotal part of the PFL's growth in this sport.
All praise and glory to God.

At my highest and my lowest, He's been with me and seen me through to lands of milk and honey. Thank you God for blessing me with this incredible opportunity for my family and myself.
Now let's go secure this bag!!!! #Godisgood#hardwork#dedication#mma#ufc#PFL#professional#athlete#Godsplan

He’ll be back in the UFC.

Looking forward to seeing his next fight

I had high hopes on him being top 5 in UFC
What a shame, he never was the same guy we have seen in the Chandler rematch

Crazy to see such a talented dude shit the bed time and time again in the ufc.

Hope he does well in PFL

Probably shouldn’t have nuked that Bellator bridge.

Had a horrible UFC run. I would have rather seen him fight Patricky Pitbull in 2016. After that hotel altercation, it just seemed natural to book that rather than Chandler vs Patricky for the paper belt.

Good signing by the PFL. They're going to need those ex-UFC vets in order to generate some interest. Maybe for every division.

Brooks at Lightweight
Shields at Welterweight
Hendricks/Grove at Middleweight

Those divisions should be gold, for now. Light-Heavyweight and Heavyweight need A LOT of beefing up.

I’m honestly shocked how bad he performed in UFC, has all the talent just can’t seem to put it together. No idea what to expect with PFL but with Brooks there I’m interested

Smart move for him, he way under performed in the UFC. This tournament is a quick way to possibly make a ton of money and he'd go right back to relevant if he could pull the win. He did great in Bellator but perhaps the UFC lights were too bright for him.

Wow that is CRAZY. Never would’ve thought he would’ve washed out of the UFC the way he did. He’s got all the tools, he’s just gotta learn how to finish a fight. He needs to sit down on his strikes and find that killer instinct. He’ll be back in the UFC for sure.

Anybody have an updated list of the PFL roster? Really don’t have any idea who’s competing and at what weight class? Would love to see the field

This was the only thing I could find. This page is pretty much the same fighter list from the WSOF days and it's the closest we'll get until the official roster announcement in the Spring.

The bigger names such as Ivanov, Shields, Firmino, Taylor, and Rama will probably stick around. If they were to go to the UFC, they absolutely would have by now. We should see some of the lower level guys as quarterfinal tournament prey as well.

Lightweight and Welterweight are easily their strongest weight classes, by far. Brooks should not take that tournament lightly. Light-Heavyweight and Middleweight are the more thin weight classes.

Never would have guessed his UFC run was going to go as poorly as it did.

I agree

Has to be one of the biggest busts in UFC history.

Cro Cop, Lombard, they were busts but they did win some fights.

Brooks was thought of as someoen who would be top 5 and compete for a title. He couldnt even get past the middle of the div.

Dont know what happened.

Even though Brooks beat Chandler I think Chandler would have a better career in UFC if he jumps ship. Word is his contract is up soon but not sure if he wins the title what would happen. Also not sure he's someone who would leave Bellator, he's like one of the faces but who knows.

This is probably a good move for Brooks. Not even sure who is in PFL so he def would be one of the favorites to win it and make some money.

Jason High, Joao Zeferino, Brian foster, caros fodor, mike ricci, islam mamedov should be in the season. Brooks can win it but not the easiest road by the way he looked recently.

I thought he'd do way better too. His UFC run was a complete joke! As others have said, a $1m tournament is a big opportunity for him. He better not take it lightly.
