A lightweight Dark Horse???? Beniel Dariush!?

Currently the #7 ranked Lightweight- (Scheduled to Fight Michael Chiesa)
5 Fight win streak since losing to Ramsey Nijem

Last 3 being some solid wins on his resume. Cruickshank, Jim Miller, and Michael Johnson (Dariush/Johnson was a tough fight to call)

Any ways if he beats Michael Chiesa is he one top 5 victory away from a title shot?
The only thing I can think of that makes sense is the winner of Chiesa/Dariush vs the winner of Barboza/Pettis though. The two losers should face each other as well

I see Dariush and Pettis winning... Pettis vs Dariush could end up being a number one contender fight down the road which is weird. Im getting a little ahead of myself lol

Of course we have T-ferg, Khabib, and Eddie in the mix as well.

I'd say after he beats Chiesa he would be 1-2 wins away. Lightweight is a stacked and crowded division.

im gonna comfertably say

I dont know

If he keeps winning...yes :p

I like Benny. Hope he has continued success. This next one should be good.

Lost to Michael Johnson pretty convincingly IMO. Still not near a TS and won't fight RDA cuz they're both at Kings MMA.

Depends if the machine gets behind him. He's in that Tony Ferguson zone, were you're going to have win and win a lot to get the title shot because there's so many marketable people in the division that they'll get top priority with 2 or 3 wins.

Its also weird to me to see Porier as a top 10 LW for some reason

What the hell is he going to do if he gets to be number one contender? Just hang out until RDA loses?

Dariush beat Johnson.. only those who believed Kenny's Bias commentary thought Johnson won. The judges got it right.

Also Dariush won't fight RDA under any circumstance, he considers him his brother.
