Will all the small business be replaced by chains and franchises?

Hello War Room.
Run!!!

That’s the plan. Destroy small businesses so only big multinational ones remain.

Nope. Anything that deals on price points or commodities will and always have had an advantage due to economies of scale. Anything that deals with more personalized services and things of that nature will always have a place for small business. Good example is reatuarants. Unless you live in a place where PF Chang's is considered exotic most people will prefer local businesses.

The worst part about the burbs are the dominance of chain restaurants. I will admit PF Chang’s ain’t bad but I could go the rest of my life without ever eating at Cheescake Factory, Chili’s, Lucille’s, Outback and Longhorn...

You are correct but I worry in the future that insurance premiums and capital will be too great for mom and pops. Chains have a much better chance of hibernating and waiting out future pandemics than the small guys.

Yep. The pandemic was the death blow to the American small business. Its global corporations for everyone now.

Who do you know who is excited to open a local restaurant right now? You want to put your life savings on the line just to have a Governor or mayor decide its too dangerous for you to be open this month; everyone needs to go to the liquor store and protests instead.

The small businesses wouldn't be the ones to mandate the covid vaccine on customers. The corporate chains will comply with the globablist reset elites. The elites know it, that's why you can't buy your laptop from Tom's local computer shop, you have to buy it from Walmart. Look for corporate to require masks and showing your vaccine health status on your phone to enter once small business is crushed

Some are no doubt gone for good.

Some new ones will open up.

Its not like our legislative branches couldn't pass some small business supporting legislation if we really wanted them to. You guys normally love it when Republicans obstruct and carry water for mega corps

Covid might have sped it up but this was already going on with Walmart and then Amazon and certain posters in here are crying crocodile tears.

To some of you guys ..... maybe you don't believe in free markets quite as much as you thought and want to rethink the libertarian thing.

Yeah. The Government ordering every small business closed while allowing the large corporations to stay open, unimpeded, and while giving trillions in bailouts to those corporations really shows just how the free market failed. How will libertarians ever recover?

These threads are so strange.

modern GOP voters love voting for these politicians that do nothing but support big business but come here and cry about small businesses being destroyed and cannibalized by multi nationals and large corporations.

your votes caused this mess.

Lmao. That guy is such a dipshit.

The OP did not mention partisan politics at all. Your tribal brain won't let you go 2 seconds without trying to devolve everything into partisan shitflinging.

A childish retarded post, color me shocked..

Are all the bars going to be replaced by big corporate sports bars and stuff? Restaurants replaced by franchise restaurants?

Mom and pops will always have lifeblood in society though some might pass the economic baton to the next up and comer with enough capital to open their doors.

I almost branched out my small business to international shipping this year. That would have been a fucking disaster lol.

It was actually an OK year to run a micro business like mine as I basically just laid low and relied on my side gig which actually exploded this year.

Keeping overheads low is vital imo. The people who really sank were people who had over extended themselves and were looking for a big year.

I know another guy who runs his business through a series of kickstarters and he was fine too.

But the GOP is the party of big business, deregulation, passing laws that take away any and all power from the everyday employee and putting it in the hands of the employer/corporation.

you’re completely full of it. You talk out of your ass every step of the way and this is the shit you vote for. You’re such a gullible Mark you believed Trump is some populist who’s gonna have the back of the working class. You vote for these polices

You vote for these politicians. You can barely spell words so I’m not surprised you don’t know how you’re kicking yourself in the ass every single time you cast a vote.

There are 435 Congressional representatives, I only get to vote for 1 of those seats.
There are 100 Congressional Senators, I only get to vote on two of those seats.
There are 50 state Governors, I only get to vote for one of them.

Yeah. Nancy Pelosi and Gavon Newsom are really looking out for the mom and pop shops shuttered across California...
