Wilford Brimley RIP

Underrated actor. His villain turn in The Firm was so fucking good. That film in general holds up great, rewatched it recently. If anyone hasn’t seen it, they really should.

One of those great cinema memories that sticks out: I remember seeing it in the theater, & Brimley did such a fantastic job giving off an evil piece of shit vibe the whole movie, that when Tom Cruise finally started beating the shit out of him with Pride kicks, the whole theater erupted in cheers.

And of course, his amazing slow burn to madness in The Thing. One piece of an ensemble in a bona fide masterpiece, & Brimley brought his A game.

RIP

Watched the firm recently, dude was a bruiser back in 93 or whenever, and somehow still old even back then.

And

For some reason I remember him best for those Ewok movies...besides diabeetus obviously.

Damn, so many awesome entertainers passing away recently. the last true man's man actors too, and didn't need to do action films to get that aura about him.

Super underrated actor and brought his A game in every role he played. I really enjoyed him.

That about sums it up...
