Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte, who holds the WBC's 'interim' title, may potentially face undefeated Jermaine Franklin in a fight that would take place in the United States, according to Sky Sports.

Whyte has not fought in the United States since 2017, when he stopped Malcolm Tann.

Franklin (20-0, 13 KOs) has been out of the ring since October of 2019, when he picked up a ten round decision win over Pavel Sour.

Wow, not an old guy or someone coming off a loss, that's a bit of a surprise.
That said, Franklin hasn't fought in 2 years when he went the distance with a guy who only lasted 3 rounds with Hughie Fury and 2 rounds with Gorman of all people, so I don't even give him a decent puncher's chance to upset Whyte.

I'd prefer they got Martin. I wouldnt mind Franklin though. Its always nice when someone who spends their first 20 fights beating up no hopers suddenly has to be the underdog vs a dangerous guy.

That's a better fight than Franklin. Skinny Arreola with Goosen on his corner seems to be super dangerous.

After nipples vs ruiz, I am thinking this will be a fun fight while it lasts. Nipples style can also give Whyte problems since he is pretty fast and whyte is more of a methodical, slow stalker throwing bombs when he can. Chris can rattle off a combo in the time whyte throws one punch.

That being said, I worry for Nipples' health.

I think this is a good fight to kind of poke holes and ruin a certain narrative around here. We shall see.
