Whys Jim Miller fighting Bobby Green?

I wanted some bum for Jim to starch but I dont think it's a mismatch. I do favor Green but not by a lot. I am a fan of both guys so I dont really think I am biased.

Miller could chop up the legs a bit and if he can get takedowns I think he has a good shot at cobtrolling or a sub. Bobby has bwtter boxing and if it stays at his range throughout I think he could box up Miller for a decision. I think that is the most likely scenario but not the only one.

Imo 60/40 or maybe 65/35 Green, far from a squash match even if I'd have preferred a gimme for Jim at 300.

If Bobby and Jim fought before Greens last knockout loss not many would be complaining. It was a bad knockout though, so I can see Green looking fragile in there

I initially gave Miller little more than a puncher's chance against a diminished Green on the assumption Bobby would outbox and school him... but the more I think about it, the more I think that his fight is somewhat competitive. I would even go so far as to say that I think this fight is more winnable for Miller on-paper than Matt Brown or Felder would have been (depending on what state Paul came back in).

One of the worse mismatches I've seen in a while
Seems a bit strange, but it's a last minute match up. Should be a win for Jim, which is great. Wonder if it's Jim's last fight?

I'd rather see him fight Matt Brown.
Yeah, I"m not sure why that's such a mismatch. Brown is even older than Miller. He may be bigger, but he got finished on his feet by a declining Cerrone years ago. Brown was also the last win for both Jake Ellenberger and Carlos Condit--two more fighters who were in clear decline when they beat him.

Who else can Miller fight? Maybe Ferguson? Paddy? He already beat Clay Guida a few years ago--they're about the same age.

It's great to see Miller still winning fights but his fights againt lower-level, no-name journeymen is getting old. Let's see him go out in a fight with someone who hasn't been on the prelims their entire career.

Green is a step up, but he's also past his best days and just got brutally finished. You never know how a fighter comes back after something like that.

hes gonna td and wrestlefuck bobby to oblivion and win a boring dec
Is Miller's wrestling that good? I think Green is probably the better wrestler of the two, though Miller is better as submission.

This is a dumb argument, he was knocked out by Dober and Turner.

Now he's fighting 40 years old Jim Miller.
He was also very competitive with Dober, who has been a top 15 mainstay for a few years, until the KO. Grant Dawson may have been overranked, but Green completely knocking the number 10 guy riding a 9 fight unbeaten streak out of the rankings is very impressive given his age and mileage.

It is as good of matchup as any.

probably a combination of no one willing, and a win over either helps.

This would have a been a great fight had Bobby not gotten viciously KOed by Jalin Turner only a month ago and then afterwards pummelled while unconscious.

He needed to take at least a year off to let his brain heal before fighting again.

You don’t see Jim Miller handing a beating to Ferguson of today? It’s a great match up between two vets. A-10 deserved a bigger fight for 300 to close out a great career. Green has had one more peak in his long career, surprising everyone by knocking out Dawson and getting ranked. Then he got KO’d, yeah.

It’s a good fight and not a mismatch at all. Hespect to both guys, most of all to Jim ”F-king” Miller!
