Why you need to Respect

Randy didn't exactly make it hard for the UFC to blackball him.

Taking the UFC to court (after the UFC made him a millionaire) and then aligning with enemy promotions isn't exactly saying let's be friends with the UFC.

The UFC sued Randy....this is a common misconception..they tried to stop him from earning outside the UFC on some.monoply bullshit.. randy never sued nobody...randy wouldnt sign his life away and wasnt getting his contract stipulations met (fedor fight)and left and the UFC went after him

Uncle Dana doesn't like it when his pawns speak out then back up their words with action, Randy wanted to fight Fedor & retire. Dana f'd up the negotiations with Fedor so Randy wanted to leave the UFC so he could fight Fedor. Dana had a meltdown & took it personally, blacklisted him like he did to Frank Shamrock. It just biznesss...

Yup... Exactly this..but its still a shame they cant even respect him on sport level...business is one thing..but atleast acknowledge the man on a sport level..the sport he helped build and promote through the UFC there own brand...even just quick a graphic when mentioning double champs..maybe list him when showing past HW CHAMPIONS..u know something

Randy tried to fight with the IFL and was pursuing M-1 for a fight with Fedor. When Randy "retired" he still had 2 fights left on his UFC contract. The courts barred Randy from fighting a day before he was suppose to fight in the IFL.

On October 11, 2007, Couture announced he was severing all ties with the UFC, leaving two contracted fights, a position as an on-air analyst and the UFC Heavyweight Championship behind. He received $250,000 (plus $936,000 of PPV revenue) for his comeback fight with Tim Sylvia. He received a $250,000 purse for defeating Gabriel Gonzaga (plus a $35,000 "Fight of the Night" bonus and $787,000 in PPV revenue).[24] He complained Chuck Liddell was allegedly paid more than he was, despite losing his previous two fights.[25] Couture cited the UFC's failure to sign #1 ranked Heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko, as well as disputes with UFC management, for his decision.[26][27]

The UFC had a right to sue him. Like I originally said, Randy didn't make it hard for his relationship with the UFC to sour.
