Why wouldn't Conor be able to make weight at 145lb again?

McGregor has a track record of only taking fights that he thinks he could win or has nothing to lose. For example, off the couch Mendes, title fight with Aldo, boxing match with Mayweather, title fight with RDA, Cabo Nate, rematch with Nate at 170, and now people are trying to drum up a title fight with Alvarez, because "an Aldo rematch won't do the same numbers as a fight with Alvarez".

However, when it comes to a legit money making match like a title unification fight against an MMA legend, where McGregor's reputation is on the line; he isn't really feeling that. Ohhhh…he isn't really feeling that? Maybe he would feel better in WWE, where wins and losses don't matter; only paychecks and fan boy fantasy match making.

So taking on the biggest challenges is now cowardly. Fantastic. Its very obvious that nothing he ever does will be good enough for you. There will always be a reason why it's wrong. If he were to go back down and crush Aldo again I'm sure you would come up with some interesting reasons why it meant nothing or was some kind of avoidance strategy. "See, he is ducking LW again."

He doesn't need to do anything. He's set for life. He calls the shots now.
Please stop the BS he's a draw, rich and popular at the moment. but things can change quick. His fans may think he calls the shot's but he doesn't he's under UFC contract and he has to do what Dana tells him to. If he quits he can't fight for another organization period.

We have to wake the people up from McGregor's reality distortion field.

Just calling a spade a spade.

He doesn't give 2 shits about MMA purists. nor does he even need another dollar in his bank account to be set for life.

The UFC has got a choice to play ball or not.
|He's rich but not that rich he wants that 100 mil and he has 75 more to go.

He probably can still make 145, but it would take some time to lose some of the muscle he has seemingly gained, and as Conor gets older the cut will become more difficult. I think it is more a question of not wanting to make the cut.

I don't see how Conor not having a belt precludes him from challenging for the LW belt. I think the UFC has shown they'll go with the money everytime, and Conor fighting for the LW belt would make money. Does he deserve a LW shot? Nope, he should fight a top LW contender first. But we know that probably wont happen.

Not sure what any of this has to do with fabrication of a legacy. Conor will likely hold the record for fastest title fight stoppage for a long time. He'll always be the guy who ended the FW GOATs' streak. MMA purists (lol) wont forget those two things either. Better to have a balanced opinion of Conor than an unrealistically positive or negative one.

Fair enough. That is reasonable.

However the rest of the fan base needs educating.

He fought Aldo and knocked him out in 13 seconds. He didn't duck the FW champion. He knocked him the FUCK out, and made it look easy. You're a fucking moron for even suggesting Conor McGregor ducked ANYONE. Aldo is the most dangerous man at FW and Conor beat him
Seriously, think about that for a few minutes. Maybe your saltiness will subside.

And now he's ducking him in the rematch. He's also ducking a trilogy with Diaz. He's ducking virtually the entire LW roster. He ducked Frankie for years and virtually every other top 5 FW.

The guy is as protected as any fighter ever has been in the UFC.

Maybe your saltiness is from gargling Conor's nuts in your mouth

connor canl make weight no problem and rematch aldo

but his personality always searchs for new horizons and is not happy with conventional stuff

IDK if the rematch will happen

He's never much bigger than 170 and people dont think he can get down to 145 again. He'll diet and be back below 160 before the hard cutting. What do people think Aldo weighs out of camp?

If Conor tells the UFC "I want Alvarez or f*ck you I'm off to make movies" the UFC would make a red carpet for him to the LW title.

Good luck with the movies I can see Conor & Jason Stratham fighting for action roles.

Its a life of misery, always on diet who wants to live like f***in that ?

A professional fighter whose made a bag of money fighting @FW and gaining the belt in the process.

Conor was on a high roll all the way up to and past Aldo and probably truly thought RDA would just be another statistic, then came Nate. Since the loss to Nate and even in victory I've seen a less than self assured and confident Conor I'm starting to wonder if he's re-thinking 155 the walk-over is not as easy as he first hoped. Staying @145 as become a burden with the cut and the guys he missed on the climb are waiting with new recruits to the division.

Conor seems to have choices not options at the moment better he go to 155 on a roll than stumble your way in on a **majority** win...

Doesn't matter, he's a national hero & set for life. He doesn't need another dime from the UFC. He could walk & all good.

He's the only one bringing in 7 figure PPV's. He calls the shots with that kind of backup. He will be set for life without another shot to the face.

One thing is certain - he is not ducking Aldo. He may be ducking the weight cut

For sure he wants it... Does he need it? No.

He could walk from getting punched in the face for the rest of his life & be set for life. Who's got the power?

I do the same thing with my trade. I do temporary jobs, but I'm one of the best at it. They can hire a scrub or they can hire me at what I ask. Many choose the cheeper route... many times I've been called in after the fact.

Because he likes to eat more than once a week.

Conor "One Hit Wonder" McGregor.

I can already see the "Then & Now" segment they would run on him. Something like Dicky Eklund.
