Why would someone keep a U-Haul truck for 3 weeks?

I have a neighbor that parked a U-haul in the street in front of her house and it's been there for almost 3 weeks now. She also has one of those U-haul car dolly trailers in her driveway.

Those 2 things have got to be costing her $60 to $100 per day.

Why the hell would someone keep them that long? If you weren't going to use it right away, then return them and rent them again when you're ready.

So I've been coming up with theories:

1. She's a drunk or druggie and doesn't think straight, and will never pay whatever rental fees they try to charge her.

2. She's some kind of smuggler and will make so much money with this truck that $100 per day is chump change.

3. She met some dude online and he claimed to be rich, and said she could move across the country to marry him if she just sent teh noodz first. Which she did. And now she's got her whole house packed up and ready to move and is just waiting for him to text her the address.

What are your theories, sherdog?

It's the 21st century sherbro ya neva know. But ask her with the "O wow when did you get that big ass U-haul truck from my g and what for" then see if she gives a answer.

I’ll take the more logical conclusion for 100, Alex. Maybe she bought a u-haul truck for cheap after uhaul took it out of their fleet for whatever reason. I have a friend who buys/sales/ drives expedite with Penske trucks.

I actually thought that for a sec, but it's a newer truck. I would think they only sell the ones that get too old and broken to be rented out anymore.

Still, maybe she did buy one and is planning on starting her own U-Haul rental business? Can you run that out of your house?

That is very possible. They sometimes leave all of their signage on them for advertising. Many people buy their car totes from them.

From the sales site, it appears that they sell them when they get close to 100,000 miles. They don't want to wait until they start breaking down.

Has it moved? She crushed herself trying to move things out and has died of thirst under her wardrobe why you just thought she was a weirdo.

Heh, well, McVeigh rented a Ryder truck which is the same idea as U-Haul and people reported seeing that truck in the days that led up to the Oklahoma City bombing. One man was fishing and saw it parked near the lake in an unusual spot and he reported he thought it was an odd place for a rental truck to be parked. As it turns out at that moment McVeigh was mixing the bomb up in the back of it.

She's trying to move, but the move date keeps getting pushed back? Car dolly rules out most other options...

We do this when we have big nasty jobs. Throw all the shit we demo in the 5k uhaul and then use it for that job and scrap it.

Shes obviously banging the CEO of Uhual, and getting dem perks.
