Why would a corner ever tell a fighter "You're up 2 rounds"?

That completely takes the fire out of a fighter and makes them go into survival mode instead of winning, and sometimes, its just absurdly wrong.

I think the coroner needs to know the fighter. Its used to lift the spirits, but it does cause some fighters to go in to cruse mode.

In curtis blaydes case i would have had no trouble telling him he was 2 up.

No point in putting your fighter in danger, if the oppurtunity presents itself take it

It only makes sense if it so obvious there is no way a judge could possibly give the other fighter a round. In the Claudia's case I thought she won the round pretty clearly but it was not so obvious no judge could give it to Esparza (1 judge did).

I'm pretty sure they told him to go out in the 5th round and win the belt. And after round 1 they told him they thought he most likely won the round, not that he won it for sure. It was his own fault that he wouldn't push through fatigue not his corner.
