I never understood the guy that works 14 hr days, 6-7 days a week who's wife is banging the neighbor. What's the point of working this hard only for this to happen and for women to only be interested in you b/c of money? Assuming you don't NEED to work this much. Buddy that works like a dog is going through a divorce right now. She cheated, they have kids, it's going to be a shit show. Worst of all, the kids are sided with her b/c he's never around. I have no idea what he's trying to accomplish with this effort. Don't get me wrong, I'm for hard work, but this is almost Kamikaze-esque.

I don't understand your point, OP.

I don't think anyone expects their wife to start banging the neighbor because they work hard. For many people, working hard to provide for their family is an act of love in and of itself. Everyone has their own love language.

Working and making money while you still have your health is an old school mentality. The whole "a husband/father who works hard is neglectful and bad" is a new age, sorta spoiled brat mentality i.m.o.

There are developing nations where the fathers have to labor from day to night or actually leave their families for a long time so they can earn a living, is it their fault too if they get cheated on?

I was just reading about how unfaithful they are... it was on a thread about that "Girls do Porn" chick who went and had a dude spunk in her mouth on camera right after saying goodbye to her boyfriend.

I'll say more about this later, but in short, neglecting the people in your life for the sake of chasing money that's far beyond what you and your family need to live well seems to be pointless, with the exception of getting a business on its feet IMO. What you're discussing with developing nations and "old school" to show the family love isn't what i'm getting at, this is a pursuit of money beyond simply "providing".

In the scenario you presented, am I wrong in assuming the woman is not working a full time job? An assumption I am making because she has time to sit home and smut around. If this is the case, who is supposed to be the bread winner?

In any case, a greedy person who just wants money I suppose deserves less leniency, but this is the exception, most people working their asses off all day are just trying to survive and make ends meet.

For many men, work provides redeeming value. I am not saying it's right, but it's true. Many find refuge in work as it gives a purpose. It's easy to get lost in something that provides self-respect.

She has a job, typical 9-5 though. Once again, this guy isn't just trying to "make ends meet". To give you an idea, he cleared $425,000 in 2016. Private Equity boutique firm. U.S. He's doing beyond well.

Okay, then he's prioritized wealth over his family, which one shouldn't do. I can agree with your OP.
