Why Werdum is so hated ?

Seems like doing great things makes people hate you more than like you. The guy is funny af, good record (20 - 5 ), Not a decision guy, has a lot of subs and more tko's than decisions, stopped Hunt, Submitted Fedor and his bro.
I see more people taking Werdum as a "fluke" who will lose to Stipe badly or Cain in a rematch and that the guy isn't good enough to be a champion, the comments on his social media are 50/50. A lot of people seem to hate this guy, as soon as he got the belt, people started talking shit about the Heavyweight division. Why is it so bad for some people that Werdum is the champion ?

Where is this Werdum hate? Everyone I talk to loves the guy.

I even know people who call him the GOAT.
 
Werdum is more underrated, he is the boss that beats your favourite fighters.I think mainly, its some Fedor and Mcgregor fans that hate him
 
Fedor introduced me to MMA, but I grew to love Werdum. He's done a lot of great things beside beating Fedor.

A few strays hate him but most fans at least like him.

He has done a few things to anger people:

-Beat Fedor
-Said Cain wasn't really Mexican
-Talked back to Conor
-Made troll faces
-Laid down in the Overeem fight

I have always been a Werdum fan since the days of Pride everyone has haters. Even classy guys like Fedor, GSP, and Shogun.

A lot of the people that don;t like Werdum are huge Cain fans or are huge Conor fans.

If anything, I'm annoyed he gets injured a bit, but not like we haven't been through that with Velasquez.

Any thread about him some people pop up with gifs and pics of his loss, also his social media comments is full of people hating him, is always "You're a fluke" "fuck you fake champ" etc.

He's not, Werdum is one of the most universally liked fighters in MMA.

I don't see it a lot, seems like he pissed off a lot of people beating their favorites because he does get a lot of hate, maybe unnoticed but i've seen soooo much people using arguments like he only beat cain because cain was off, or saying he talks shit after pulling out of fights. Just look around, they hate him for no reason.
 
I remember when no one thought he had a chance against Travis Browne.

I personally think he gets underestimated a lot bc of his rematch with overeem, it was a huge let down after werdum had subbed fedor. People are still salty.
