but not when losing against Nate?

Mendes was taking him down and catching him good and beating him up on the ground and Conor still would get up laughing in his face and ready to go the next round.

Against nate you can visibly see his confidence go down and eventually lose.

What was the difference?

Because he hit Nate with everything he had and he didn't go down like literally everybody else.

Nate is a zombie. Conor knew he would connect with Mendes's chin.

It’s almost like he knew something that the rest of us didn’t in the Mendes fight.

For example, I didn’t know that quick stand ups were going to be a thing, nor did I know that herb was going to stop the fight with seconds left in the round due to thunderous strikes to chad’s shoulder.

Apparently there are levels to what kind of punches people can take. Who ever would have thought a bigger man can take a harder punch ?

You don’t need to be a genius. But thinking rationally never hurts.

You would be confident if you fought a midget too!
Try fighting a giant next time.

Who knew you would be so butthurt.

Imagine what Full Camp Mendes would have done to Conor...

Conor gassed hard in that fight. He gained too much weight in a short period of time. Against a cardio machine like Nate, it's suicide.

Still impressed with Conor in that fight though. He went balls to the wall until the very end.

because he was used to knocking out FW manlets and got a shock of his life when he finally faced a real man.

Worst thing for a striker is being worried about striking when knowing the other dude is a ninja on the ground. Mendes had "a double leg and a overhand right", so Conor was comfortable each time the stand-up resumed.

2 different scenarios

Mendes was winning but slowing down while Conor wasn't
Conor was winning but slowing down while Nate wasn't
