They didn't want this whole situation to get out of control pretty much & they weren't willing to also pull Khabib off the card. To keep both men in the arena would've probably continued to drama hence the pull.

That's my conclusion as well and it is bullshit if he didn't do anything.

You can clearly see Artem in the video (not doing anything but still), I also spotted Charlie Ward who fought in the UFC twice and now fights for Bellator.
