Now, UFC is lightyears ahead of boxing when it comes to the weight division system, but seriously, it's absolutely pathetic that there is a 265 lb limit at UFC's "heavyweight" division... Why the fuck can't they just let heavyweight be heavyweight? So the biggest of the biggest are not allowed to compete at their biggest? We wanna see the best fight the best, get rid of that damn limitation. And lower lightheavyweight to 200 lb so it becomes harder for guys like Jones and Cormier to weightcut in the future.

Have you ever seen a Super Heavyweight fight?

UFC dont want 350 pound fat bohemeths fighting, not a good look. For me personally, i want to see it.

There shouldn't be anything called "super heavyweight", that term is disgusting and should never even have been thought of. Heavyweight, starting at 200 lb, no weight limit, that's it, perfection, nothing above.

Don't be such a pansy. Openweight or bust

Light years ahead? the UFC heavyweight has been its weakest link for over a decade. Any prime HW boxer would probably kill a UFC HW, aside from a choice few, on cardio alone. lol

Here’s The Reason The UFC Doesn’t Have A Super-Heavyweight Division…

Weighing in at a rather intimidating 385lbs, you’d think that Tomasz Czerwinski might be able to put in a decent performance against any opponent, wouldn’t you? Especially one that’s significantly smaller and lighter than him. But when he came up against Mark Potter here in this MMA bout, it was nothing but carnage. But carnage which Potter walked away from unscathed. The same can’t be said for the giant Pole…

You can soon see why there’s a weight limit in UFC. When fighters get too big, they’re out of shape and aren’t competitive. And it makes for a dangerous situation. We saw similar recently at the Kimbo Slice Vs. Dada 5000 fight. Two big and out-of-condition fighters going at it. Slowly. And being a danger to themselves.

Mark Potter is a big dude, don’t get us wrong. But compared to Czerwinski? He’s made to look small. It’s David Vs. Goliath. But Goliath has a glass chin…

75% of Americans are overweight and yet still they discriminate against us.

How long can we be ruled by the tyranny of the thin?

Because no one wants to see fat fucks fight.

Cause 266 just doesn't have the same ring to it!

There's no such thing as a 300 lbs fighter who isn't a either fat fuck or juiced up.

Pretty sure it's an athletic commission thing and/or because the SHW division already exists. It's just almost never used.

What on earth makes you think that SHW is even remotely entertaining ? Bigger and heavier doesn’t equate to better. Or even good for that matter.

No thank you. SHW is a freak show division. And doesn’t remotely interest me.

Having a weight limit ensures the fighters are still pretty much all the same size. No freakshow advantages by being 100 lbs heavier.

They should raise it to 300. Because 265 makes no fucking sense.
