It's incredible how much people go around saying that the UFC should have put Conor back on UFC 200 to increase their value before a potential sell to the China Media Capital.

I understand that most (not all, obviously) of his fanboys (not of his fans) are people that do not have a clue about how the real world works (because they are teen and/or uneducated) so it's not their fault... but guys...

With my job I have business with very big company from mainland China, I've been there a lot of times and I've met and spent time with a lot of Chinese managers... and I can tell you that for them RESPECT OF GERARCHY AND AUTHORITY is the most important thing. It's a prerequisitie, it's not even questionable.
And I've met relatively low-tier managers with respect to the owner of a big group like CMC.

The idea that one of those billionare, god-like manager with heavy inevitable relationships with the "nomenklatura" of the chinese communist party would be willing to take the risk of being ridiculed by a 27 years old kid on social media is absolutely insane.

The damage has already been done probably, and I'm sure that the Fertitta's are not happy about it...

It's all about face. Not loosing it.

You dont have much experience with how Chines companies treat their workers do you?
Chines would prob think UFC went too easy on Conor

That's obvious.
But the UFC can't do nothing more than it has done.

In communist China... you do as you're fuckin told, there's no Simpsons joke here just do as you're told and shut the fuck up lol

Well the future will tell. Dana was able to berry the hatchet with Tito.
In the long run its about money for both UFC and Conor.
All parties in this want to make money. When they have the same goal I am sure they will work it out.

I agree, but I don't want to address the Conor-UFC situation in general.

I wanted to express my opinion on that specific idea that a lot of people are shouting around.

The Chinese wouldn't let their ego get in the way. It would be a very simple business decision for them. Who's the top draw that will make us the most yen? McGregor sir.. Ok, he headlines. Press conferences wouldn't matter a Chinese shit to them

Well when it comes to Chines companies that want to break into the Western world they do tend to hire managers that went to school in the US and they try to understand the western way.

At least the companies I had to deal with. They are harder on their workers in China, and much softer and easy going on foreigners. I know some people working for companies the Chinese bought and they dont see much difference in the day to day. Of course when the big wigs from China shows up for a visit..

Lol, Chinese are not Americans... if you are ignorant on a subject there's nothing wrong, but please avoid going around talking nonsense.

Yeah.. Saving face, honor and so on is not very big in the Asian culture.

Have you ever been picked up by a female when you go to china?
Thats the same as "fuck off!" IIRC
It shows they dont take you seriously and they are just polite.

The Chinese don't fucking care.

If they had to they'd just drive a fucking tank over Conor's scrawny ass. They don't just put you in your place. They turn you into a roadkilled grease spot. Zuffa isn't quite so vicious. They just pulled his pants down in front of the world and tanned his ass.

Here we are speaking about mocking your boss on a social media in front of millions people...

If you respect them and work well, based on my experience, they are absolutely friendly, polite and educated.
They periodically praise you and your company for the good work, something that european and especially italian customers never do in my field.
American customers are more similar to chinese one than to europeans on this subject, which is surprising.

well people are people... imagine that

if someone buys the UFC, they're probably either going to have expierence(Trump, the Russians) or approach it with an open mind

this thread is stuck in the mud

If China media Capital does buy the UFC for the numbers floating around, they will lose money.

Fighter pay will probably drop as well.

It would not matter how much money I pulled in... I would be a goner.

China uses some of their Olympic stadiums to execute people today.
