Street fight is not close to MMA fight and anyone whos been in street fights would tell you that.

Actually, with the exception of groin shots, biting and eye gouging, it mostly is.
Prime Tyson would beat 80/100 men in a street fight. Prime Stipe or Cain would beat 99/100 with their current skillset, and 100/100 with some tweaks.

MMA Fighters are the jack of all trades, but masters at few.
 
Superior in ths sense that its ruleset is the closest to real life hand to hand fighting in a legalised 21st century sporting context.

If there were gladiator fights to the death I would say that is superior.

But the thing is, you don’t need skills to bite and eye gouge. Get any “boxer” and tell them to fight Stipe or Cain or Jones and tell them you can bite and eye gouge, it won’t change nothing. It will only favor MMA fighters because they will control them in positions where they can hit them in the groin/eye gouge and do whatever they damn well please with them.
 
It covers all ranges of fighting . Boxing / kickboxing , clinch / takedowns and the ground . It Doesn’t cover weapons , “ dirty “ tactics , or multiple attackers, but it’s damn effective .
 
Wtf who’s ever seen eye gouges, bites, or groin strikes in a “street fight”? There’s typically a gentleman’s agreement in place and unless you’re getting mugged or defending your family, people don’t resort to shit like that. MMA rules are pretty damned close to a real fight.

This. People point to the fact that dirty tactics are possible in a street fight to suggest that that will somehow nullify MMA. They don't realize that those tactics are also available to an MMA fighter in a hypothetical street fight. Of course someone can hit you in the back of the head with a crow bar. No shit. But if you were unarmed and happened to get into an all out brawl, being adept at grappling and striking puts you at a tremendous advantage.

No it's still a very very long way off. No knees to the head of a downed opponent, no stomping, no using the environment as a weapon etc. I'm sure many mma fighters can hold their own fine in a street fight but it's not even close. Pride FC was pretty close

Where aare you from? People get kneed in the balls, stabbed, and ocassional shot at some of the bars I've frequented. I have the best fighting style of them all. It's called don't run your mouth off at strangers.
 
Show me videos of a guy using grappling to fend off multiple opponents. LOL

(sorry if I forgot to mention your favourite, but I'm sure your favourite has some other main dicipline than mma-training)

Conor, Kickboxing ( he is really not a full mma-fighter) And also he lost to boxer, Floyd TBE.
