His striking especially in round 1 is still dangerous he was lighting weidman up 2 fights ago then merked Hendo,


Jacare has one way of winning this avoid a ko then take it to the ground for lay and pray he will not out strike Vitor,

I hate this fight for Jacare. He's been due a championship fight for a while, gets thrown in against Roidmero, and instead of getting to wait in line until the Rockhold-Weidman dust settles he gets thrown in against another dangerous fighter.

More to the point, I imagine the oddsmakers are still basing this on the previous iteration of Vitor.

Why? Because Jacare has a chin and all he needs to do is take it to the ground and it's over. We have no idea what Vitor will show up but beating a TRTless chinless Hendo means nothing at this point, even tho he did look good. Even if it's in Brazil, I believe USADA is still doing testing. Jacare won that fight against Romero too and should be fighting for the belt.

That all being said, I still think Vitor has a chance and can take out Luke as Luke always starts slow (see Jacare, Weidman, Machida and Vitor fights), especially on the feet, and a tiny mistake against Vitor means ur finished, but not necessarily finished against Weidman/Machida/Jacare. Vitor may be the best technical striker at MW and that fact always gets over looked; TRT can sure help but it wont give you timing and technique. Vitor is the closest fighter in the UFC (save HH, Conor and maybe Duffy) to being a professional level boxer IMO.

yeah the "flu" thats why go got popped in between camps.

He caught jacare in the first, then he cheated (once again) his way out in the second and got destroyed on the 3rd.
