Why is there so much Merab slander since the Khamzat’s last fight

On at least 15 occasions I have seen the same ol serenade of “why no hate for Merab”, ever since Khamzat got eviscerated by many fans for holding a man down for 5 rounds. Let’s be clear. Wrestling is not the key factor of discontent. It is Khamzat holding a man down for five rounds doing enough to prevent a stand up. Merab is constant pace and grinding with consistent position changes and a ton of MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. His style is not remotely close to Khamzat’s snooze fest. I actually find Merab fairly entertaining as a fighter although far from top of the heap at entertaining. I just don’t understand why is Merab being slandered over Khamzat’s trash fight and who are these mewbies that don’t know Merab got hella flack in the past? Are you bots? Explain yourself

Chimaev's performance was way more dominating and he was the challenger dominating a reigning champ.

Merab wasn't as dominating, and he beat a lanklet that's been beat several times in the UFC already.

I think the worst part of control wrestling is that it stalls out the fight and wastes time.

Imagine if somehow point jabbing took 30 seconds off the clock every time you landed a jab, and you could win a round by out-landing your opponent 7-3 with jab strikes. That sounds like an insane example, but that's exactly what's happening with grappling. A small amount of takedowns are stalling out the clock and defining the entire round scoring.

I think both Merab and Khamzat's last fights were boring, and the rules should be changed to take points away from them for control-point-fighting.

Henry Cejudo won a gold medal by literally outwrestling people from the Caucuses mountains. Cejudo was not in his prime nor a real BW, so I dont know what him getting "outwrestled" by Merab infers. What a weird callout.

We are not related but we do have a bit of a similar culture, I'm georgian and we often see those north caucasus people as our offspring who became muslim

thats not true at all, Im actually concerned that's the conclusion you've drawn lol. Dricus Submission defense was very good, he couldn't prevent being taken down, but he was able to make it so no damage could be done, and no subs were attempted.
