Why is pointing to the buttocks suggestive of steroids?

I get some steroids (maybe?) are injected in the butt cheek butt woudn't it make sense that most are injected in the arm or not even injected at all?

God- I read too many books but I've read so many times that there are like 8 or 9 places you're supposed to inject and the buttocks were not one of them but may be I'm wrong cause like I said it happens to be common place for people to do it.

Idk, I've read some books on this and the few that I've read all say the same thing- traps ,delts, biceps, triceps, quads, calves. ....im missing 2 or 3.One book goes out of its way to tell you not to shoot up in buttocks.

Again its probably more of an urban legend but one that's strong enough that a lot of people will pickup on the reference someone like Bisping is making.
