Why is PC gaming the "master race" when their best games are console ports?

I watched the PC game show and my god it was absolutely awful. Their only good games are games from Xbox or PS4. Can someone explain where this "master race" thing came from?

There are good games for Xbox and PS4? When did this happen?

And yet you never answered the question. PC gaming is a joke, people spend thousands of dollars on high end computers to play fortnite and league of legends.

You sound poor. PC gaming is better than console gaming. More games, better games, and optimized games.

Doom series, Bioshock series, warcraft, starcraft, just to name a few, all 10 out of 10 and they started on the PC and remain best to be played on PC.

How do I sound poor? Poor people are the ones who waste their money. People who work hard and understand the value of money are some of the cheapest people you will ever meet. More games like what? Don't get so defensive man, I'm really trying to understand this after watching that awful PC gaming show. There was absolutely no good looking games outside of multiplatform console ports.
All I understand are the graphics are better but what about the games?

But would you agree that those games are older and there's nothing right now but kid games? I could definitely understand the whole master race thing when games like Half life were out but I kinda laugh when people say that stuff now.

There are 10x more games for PC than Xbox/PS4 combined. There are also countless mods which lengthen the lifespan of a lot of good games (eg. Skyrim, Fallout NV, Deus Ex). On top of that, better graphics and customization. Plus I prefer my FPS with a mouse and keyboard.

For the record, I apologize for my original comment.

Because ive not upgraded my PC in a while, i dont know if new games have been out. Someone else would have to chime in..

As far as old games go, their shelf life speaks for itself. Its nice to have new games and hope theyre all winners, but thats unlikely.

Shit, god of war is the only reason i want to get a ps4. Years ago, getting a new console meant getting a whole new world. When you bought a snes, ps1, gamecube, it was a given youd be happy with any game. Now, i personally pick n choose.

What about now though? All I see on twitch are games that look like they could have been on a PS2. Why do people spend so much money on a PC to play that stuff? Are there good games out there that are created just for people with powerful computers?

Ok well in reference to Fortnight and LoL, I have no idea what the craze is about there, never played either and I'm not interested in playing either. As for twitch, one must have a lot of free time to be entertained watching other people play a video game.

In current parlance, the term is used by PC enthusiasts both to describe themselves as a group, as well as their belief in the superiority of the PC platform in comparison to consoles, often citing features like more advanced graphics, smoother framerates, free online play, backwards compatibility, modifications, upgradability, customization, lower cost-over-time, open standards, multitasking, and performance.

Gaming isn't the end all be all when it comes to PC, but it helps that I can play Minesweeper at 144fps with a racing wheel and watch porn on a second monitor.

Can’t speak for everyone but for me it’s the options.

Being able to decide I want a game running smoothly at 60+FPS rather than being told it’s going to be choppy at 30FPS.

Exclusively? Not really anymore, but there are games that look much better on a powerful computer. Assassin's Creed Origins is a good, recent example. You also get the ability to choose what your preferences are. Maybe you want to play a game at 120 fps, or maybe you're fine with 60 if you can get 4k resolution out of it.

People don't buy expensive computers to play Fortnite and the like unless they need the extra power to encode videos/stream.

More people play league of legends than own PS4, Xbox, and wiis combined.

You do still occasionally get games such as Total War: Warhammer. I'm not into that series, but in addition to needing a really good PC to run well, you'll notice it's not shown as being available on consoles at all. My guess is that's because the controls can't easily be adapted to a controller.

You know where it came from. It wasn't until the last generation of consoles that it became more of a level playing field, but even then there are much more options when playing on the PC.
