Why is Paulo Costa still ranked?

Not sure but this is the exact type of fight that will prove whether he should be. Kopylov wins and he's top 5-10, IMO.
 
I have no clue. He's one of the most inactive fighters and he doesnt have a single win over anyone still in the UFC. I think he's just there to make Izzy's resume look better than it is
 
He's one of the most stark examples of how social media presence gets treated equally as taking/winning fights.

This guy lost to Whittaker only to get a match against the #1 contender Strickland directly after.

Ehh I think that was a one way #1 contender's match, ie if Strickland won he would get the title shot but if Costa won he wouldn't. Strickland had a history of helping the UFC (stepping in to fight Izzy, accepting the fights vs Abus Magomedov & Alex Pereira) so they definitely lobbed him a relative softball to get back in the win column.

Yeah but simultaneously you're giving Costa that opportunity too.
 
TS needs to challenge the "corpse of Luke Rockhold" to a sparring session and film it

You could frame Costa as having a win over a former champion if you wanted

He is ranked 12 which seems good to me. A scrap with Kopylov should be a lot of fun.

TS would demolish Luke. He is a sherdogger.. 6ft7 280lbs and black belt in everything.

Also Luke last win in MMA when he fought Paula was 5 years ago against Branch. He got KTFOed twice after that. Safe to say Luke best days were behind him.

Costa too.. he hasn't been the same since he had Izzys child.
