Yes, Nate already beat Cerrone, but that was ages ago, and that wasnt welter weight cerrone 2.0

Plus Nick has had a long welter weight layoff, and probably shouldnt face a top contender (Lawler, Condit, Rory, etc) right away

Both fighters are looking for big pay days, so lets match them up, heck it could probably even headline a PPV or at least a Fox card

You answered your own question, we already saw Nick's little brother kick the shit out of him.

If anything, a rematch with Nate nowadays would be more interesting imo.

Nick moving forward and closing the distance for a nate 2.0 victory, cowboy ain't winning that. Might be entertaining though to see Nick get his first win in forever though. For the record I like Cowboy I just don't think he does well when someone moves forward all the time on him.

Ages ago...Cerrones a new fighter now at WW

I don't think Cowboy is a new fighter. He's a badass, but he also just got crushed in 1 minute by RDA 6 months ago. Beating up Cote didn't erase that memory.

Nick Diaz just stood and traded with 185 Anderson Silva for 5 rounds.

Let Cowboy try to get through the little brother again first, before we get too carried away.

Cowboy gets bullied by Nick; verbally and physically.
...and psychologically. Nate broke Cerrone in their fight. I'd be interested to see how he reacts to Nate in a rematch.

Although I agree I think a Nate rematch is very interesting, I would LOVE nick vs cerrone.

Cerrone wants that fight back, and he would definitely be willing to fight Nick to prove a point.

I like this. It will be interesting to see the first ever double KO by body shot.

Apparently, beating Cote is a big feather in ones cap o_O Hes the litmus test for legitimacy in the WW division, apparently

He may not be top 10, but are you saying Cote isn't a legitimate test at 170?

Former title contender at 185, and was on a good run before Cowboy derailed him.

I think hes legit but lets not get carried away

Cerrone is a much better fighter than the one that lost to Nate.

I say give Cowboy his rematch, i think he would beat Nate if they fought again

Nick would get embarassed, they'll put him against the big names to make cash money until that "legacy" is run into the ground
