Why is no one pushing Hendricks vs Diaz?

Remember Nick Diaz v Paul Daley? Now image the potential of Hendricks v Nick Diaz. This is a great way to promote Hendricks facing a well known contender. Plus, if Henricks knocks Diaz the fuk out; it'll finally shut the Diaz fan boys up.Thoughts?
 
beacuse everyone still wants gsp vs diaz and there is a chance hendricks kills diaz
 
Because Hendrick should fight for the title against GSP, not someone coming off of a loss.

Hendrick has done more than enough for the title shot.
 
The sad thing about that fight is, Hendricks could possibly KO Diaz with 1-3 punches, whereas it would take Diaz a dozen. Still, I'd pick Diaz to KO Hendricks. Diaz is that much better of a fighter.
 
Because GSP just missed 18 months with his injuries and I don't want him to sit around for another 6 months or more waiting for Hendricks to fight Diaz.
 
Because Diaz already had a shot at being the #1 contender and lost to Condit. Hendricks basically put himself into the #1 contender slot by KOing Kampmann. I think Hendricks deserves a shot at GSP and shouldn't have to fight Diaz, who already lost his shot, to get it.
 
Because Diaz is coming off a failed title shot and Hendricks just won two number one contender fights in a row?
 
Hendricks got put against the cage multiple times in his fight with Koscheck and took tons of shots from the most predictable striker in MMA.
Nick would maul him

But I don't want to see this fight because Hendricks has earned his shot against GSP.
 
Hendricks is the legit #1 contender. Diaz is not. If GSP ends up in a super fight, and Hendricks himself wants to fight Diaz and take the risk of losing that contendership instead of waiting, then I'm fine with it. But only if those parameters are all met.

What does Daley vs Diaz have to do with this potential fight? Sure both Daley and Hendricks hit like a truck, but you do know Daley has 0 wrestling in MMA compared to Hendricks who was a 2x champ and 3 time finalist.

Do I think it would be a great fight? Sure, but Hendricks has done more than enough to already have earned his shot while Diaz, well obviously he hasn't.
 
because nick doesnt deserve a #1 contender spot already

Actually Dana stated that for the main 2 fights on that card that if Hendricks and Diaz won they could both possibly be #1 contenders, but probably not Miller and Kos since they had previous losses to the champs.
 
Would be a boring fight and Diaz would get dominated.
 
Because Hendricks has more than earned his title shot, and Diaz has not.

This, its all about the beef, diaz is the only person who can make GSP fight pissed off. Im sure i dont have to mention the controversy of Diaz's last loss and that certainly contributes as well.
 
Because GSP will be ready again soon, and if Hendricks and Diaz don't fight, there are two contenders lined up for the belt. If they do fight, there's one contender lined up for the belt. I'd rather see them both try to beat GSP than just one of them.
 
I like it TS. I would be excited for that fight. I think it's more likely we get GSP v Diaz or GSP v Hendricks, which I am cool with both also. But if we do get GSP v Silva, I'd love Diaz v Hendricks.
