I think the majority of fighters keeping punching until the ref stops it. The difference is that Francis usually KO's guys cold, so it looks a lot worse. The fighters who stop before the ref stops it are a rarity and should be praised (Machida, Hunt, etc.), rather than look down on the fighters that do it.

It's kinda like how American cops are trained to unload a whole clip when firing a weapon at a suspect . Fighters are told to keep fighting until the ref pulls them off . Nothing wrong with what Francis is doing here, he's just doing his job .

Because you fight until the ref stops you. I don't know why people think these walk-off KO's are so cool. We've seen guys drop their opponent, walk away or take their foot off the gas because they think it's going to be stopped, then the opponent recovers.

Fighters should be in kill mode and that can't be switched on and off in a split second.
