It's largely about conduct. Ferguson has been looking to follow the McGoat shit talking way of getting himself out there without realizing it fully depends on making damn sure you are willing to show up to fight when the UFC says you are. If he couldn't physically handle a media appearance, and if his leg was that bad, him and his camp should have prepared for that days, if not weeks, in advance. Khabib's still in the same pit; he ended up ruining the last 3 fights due to not being able to keep himself in fighting shape and then deciding that even with his limited schedule making weight like a proper pro fighter was just too much. It's still inconceivable how he feels justified in talking crap to anyone in light of it. Holloway, for the past 8 years, has made sure he can get in at least 2 fights a year and doesn't try to go the spectacle route of McGoat or Ferguson. That's why the fans can eventually calm down after the initial frustration that happens if he does have to withdraw. At the end of the day, if you are gonna go the McGoat route, you are in essence making a statement that you will be there to fight anytime you are advertised to be there. Otherwise the public is gonna turn on you with extreme prejudice.
