People talked about GSP and Anderson fighting in weak divisions, but if Woodley has to ask for two different retired fighters (GSP/Diaz) because he's "cleared out" a division where the middle of the top 10, including fighters that have beaten him, are in Bellator and Cerrone is a top 10 WW then Woodley is apparently a king in a puddle shallow division that should be scrapped.

However, as the UFC champ he should have been talking all along about contenders instead of money fights. The fact that he hasnt called out anyone other than those two and McGregor since he became champ is absurd. He's tried to argue against every opponent he's been given even before he got the fight instead of talking up the fights that he has available.

Its the shitty "Imma champ, gimme money fights and not those undeserving contenders" mentality that sucks about the UFC fighters right now, and Woodley's "I will protect my brand and not fight until I get a title fight, plus I should get one because the UFC is racist" addition to it is pathetic. He argued against Thompson, he argued against Maia, its not like he WANTS to fight contenders. He's not a draw and he wants a opponent who is a draw, whether they are a legit contender or not.
 
If you had the option to have an easier fight, have too cut less weight after s few year layoff, and most likely make more money soon so, wouldn't you take it ?

Why is Bisping the easier fight? He's far more difficult.
 
Does not want to fight at WW anymore unless it is Conor. That fight will happen as long as he wins against Bisping IMO.

Woodley has the wrestling, grappling, and striking to compete with GSP. Depending on how GSP looks after being sidelined for four years also plays a huge role on how he matches up with today's active talent.
 
man,people need to lower there expectations when it comes to gsps post usada return.its just not the same game anymore.

What Tyron Woodley fight has lead you to believe that?

If we want to break down wrestling from grappling, Tyron can wrestle, but can't grapple for shit. Has he shown anything more than lay and praying?

He can't wrestle 3 or 5 with GSP. Tyron is gonna hide being a big punch and do nothing else. GSP is better in every single position.

Out fought in every way. He kicked Woodley, slapped Woodley, taunted him, took him down and kept Woodley on his back for the entire round. Woodley was even asking for time outs and forced to stall. He was gassed, exposed and had nothing to offer the Red King

GSP sees Woodley as a tougher challenge, a potential boring fight, won't draw as well on PPV and doesn't add to his legacy much if he simply won the same title back he never lost.

He sees Bisping the complete opposite.
