Imagine being one of the best comedians ever where it’s your job to make fun of people or things and the very moment someone makes a wise crack about you and busts your balls you throw a hissy and hold a massive grudge?

Bro, you are the one who sounds like a bitch. Lol.

He saved SNL and they took a cheap shot at him as soon as he had a bad review. His beef wasn't with C-list Spade, but with the people who put it on the air who only had jobs because of him.

He didn't bitch about it, he just declined to go back on the show and put more money in their pockets for a while. Fair play.

what? Leave Eddie alone.

I suppose he's hypersensitive and he's also been a star since he was about 20, that kind of treatment isn't acceptable to him. Very, sensitive guy, he quit standup because people complained about his language, he began to focus on kids movies after he was outed with a tranny. I'm just glad he's still alive unlike many of the top stars of that era.

yup, he was the best thing to happen to SNL after their first crew left.

I like both comedians. Saw Spade live recently. Glad they are good with each other now. But like Spade said, "you gotta be able to take the jokes." Especially, if you're a professional comedian.
that makes sense but comics are notoriously hypersensitive and insecure. It's also the main reason they are worse than a bunch of women in their treatment of each other. Comics hate other comics, whether that was behind the comment, I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me. Comics always fuck with each other, are two faced and vindictive when they aren't stealing jokes from each other.

Wasn't that around the time Eddie was getting caught with Trans hookers?

If a comedian gets upset another comedian is busting on them - then why are they a comedian? Imagine Robin or Carlin being upset a comedian was busting on them........ lol.

Eddie had a great 8 year run - 2 all time epic stand up shows and 5 legendary 80s movies ( BHC, 48hrs, Trading places, C2A, Golden Child) . Dude was one of the 80s entertainment kings . He fell off a cliff and I guess became a bitter asshole.

Thanks for the interesting insight

I think that was a little after the SNL bit but it was close to around the same time.

As I said, generally, comedians are at each other's throats, just out of insecurity really. From everything I know, Eddie is hypersensitive even for normally hypersensitive comedians. I once read that he fell out with Arsenio Hall because Hall grilled him about voting on his show. Who knows if that's true but I wouldn't doubt it. He and Eddie were also rumored to be lovers.

Eddie's movies in the 90's weren't as bad as the critics said, Boomerang was funny and I believe it was a hit, I think Vampire From Brooklyn was a flop and that along with films like Distinguished Gentleman just turned the critics against him but his flops were never so bad that they never stopped throwing money at him. Bowfinger was good and of course the Nutty Professor movies were hits. He just wasn't the fresh face anymore and when that happens, people really get their licks in.
