DC vs silva at 205, not catchweight. Why is the belt not on the line?

I think short notice fights are usually 3 rounds or am I wrong? Was McGregor vs Diaz scheduled for 3 or 5?

Bisping/Rockhold was a title fight. 5 rounds. Title fights are always 5 rounds.

Because why the fuck would it be?

Cause he's fighting the champion in his weight class. The champion taking a non-title fight in the weight class he has a title in is fucking weird.

Or did you totally forget Joe Soto fighting Dilashaw for his title on one day's notice?

Has a champion ever taken a non-title fight in his division in the UFC before?

I mean, why the fuck wouldn't it be?

Because everything is fucked up for this ppv if you haven't noticed.

I think it was Silva's choice to make it 3 rounds.

He's crazy but he's not that crazy to think he can go 5 rounds with a former HW on 2 days notice.

Dana wanted to make it a title fight but Anderson didn't want a five-rounder.

Bisping is a higher ranked fighter then silva he could justify the shot

yeah, the poster I quoted thought all late replacement fights were 3 rounds. Or so it seemed to me. I'm of the opinion that if you are the champ and you're fighting at your weight you should defend the belt. I think in Silva's case he didn't want to sign on for 5 rounds on such short notice. I really don't know though.

Because he has to defend it against Jones once this all blows over...

Because Silva hasn't trained a full camp which he requires to fight for a 5 round fight against a beast Cormier.

I agree it should be would be awesome to see Anderson get two belts in two different classes. The reason its not on the line is because Anderson didnt have enough time to prepare for a 5 rounder.
