As an mma fanatic I feel Dana has betrayed his own mission statement and as such the brand jas taken a hit

Why on Gods green earth { USA) is Dana an mma guy investing heavily in a dead mans sport reserved for old men

Dana does for Dana. He no longer gives a fuck. Money talks, bullshit walks.

Why did Apple Computer make ipods then iphones?

Because he's a moron and wants to set himself up before they kick him out.

It's all about the money.

because boxing it's far from dying and generates more profit than mma.

You ever seen Pay per view buy rates when boxing is on? Plus the tickets are super expensive. Oh and the boxers, they make a shitload of money too. They've been saying its dying for a while and the money is still rolling in

Are you one of those guys that argue like a child that Coke is better then Pepsi or Xbox is better then PlayStation?

You can like or appreciate both! Everything is not so black and white.

Boxing won't die, it's been around a long long time. Stop being a hater!

Because crossover events have the increased potential to make a lot of $$/sell a lot of tickets. There is an obvious appeal.

And if you can arrange and promote from both sides, that makes it all the more profitable

Boxing isnt dying...its not what it was 20 years ago, but theres still money to be made there....and we know Dana and co are about money.

Why wouldnt you diversify?

It doesnt mean you have to do less for MMA, just adding another option.

He probably sees an opportunity to improve a product and cash in on it. Say what you want, dudes a bad ass business man.

The writing is on the wall for the ufc

It’s really been a bad stretch

It seems people have been calling boxing a dying sport for the last 10-15 years, so when exactly is it going to die? NEVER.

In boxing, he doesn't need to finance the entire organization, he just needs a few big names and make huge profit.

The problem is, I doubt any elite boxers would want to sign with someone like him. Boxing is a complex game when it comes to promotions, networks, organizing the right fights at the right time...
