To get rich you must engage in as many mutually beneficial transactions as you can. If they aren't mutually beneficial, you tend to go to jail.

If the fighters were being abused, they would fight elsewhere.

Agreed. UFC only pays 20% salary compared to competition's 45%. They have sought to monopolize the industry and he's one of the biggest culprits. 20k to show? After you deduct taxes, manager fees, injuries etc your left with 20% off Reebook coupons.


The UFC has taken advantage of the infantile nature of the sport-monopolizing the industry and controlling fighter pay. One example being the back-end Reebook deal that robbed fighters of endorsments.

To be fair they never had a "right" to endorsements in cage to begin with.

Even if you start your own business, unless it's a 1 man operation that doesn't require the hiring of anyone but yourself, then you're using other people to work for you cheaply while you make the big bucks. You wouldn't be able to make the big bucks without people working for you who end up making less than you. When in reality, you NEED those people to run your business and make money.

Is paying a fighter their market value taking advantage of them? What about paying them more than their market value?
