Why I think Ronda Won't Come Back

Cool theory bro, ...

But ... Edmond has nothing to do with anything. When she lost, she did not lose because of Edmond, just like when she won she did not win because of Edmond.

What she is doing now is recovering physically, and reassessing everything with the big picture in mind. She went into MMA because of money. In 2015 alone she made 14 mil. She no longer needs money, and she no longer needs MMA.

Big picture in this case has to do with things like starting a family which seems to be important to her, and figuring out her career choices after MMA. At the end of the day she may very well call it quits and move on. As much as I will miss the entertainment she provides me, if she does move on, good for her!

You don't think Edmond had anything to do with her losing? He hyped up her boxing like crazy. Now who knows what was said behind closed doors, but if he actually told her that she stood a chance at beating Holly in a stand up fight, or that her "eat punches while bull rushing" technique was a good idea against a championship boxer, then he absolutely had a lot to do with her losing.

There has been a lot of speculation about Ronda's return but no real clarification although there are rumors about WWE and acting class.
My take is this.
On one level, she must know that staying with Edmond is a disaster and will expose her to future losses and beatings in MMA. The division is evolving and getting more competitive and she can't keep up with the evolution if she has an inferior coach. But on another level, she is very close and loyal to Edmond and may even see him as a father figure. Plus, Travis is now with Edmond.
The intelligent decision would be to stay in MMA but switch to King's MMA down in Huntington Beach. There are conflicts but I am sure they would be glad to have her and would work it out. In her heart of hearts she knows that this is the smart decision.
But Travis is now with Glendale and Edmond and she is very close to Edmond and it would be a very very painful and awkward parting of the ways. Her mother would also get to say "I told you so."
The one way to avoid this dilemma is to quit MMA and go to WWE, acting, or back to school and enter politics. I think this is what she will do. She left judo in kind of a strange way and I think she will just decide that she has reached the end of the road here.
I hope she stays but I really think it would be dangerous to stay with Edmond.

That was a nasty and bad concussion. She will be back in 2017 if at all. She's pretty much set for life financially and openly spoke about leaving the fight game in a couple of years. She's close to that number now with the inactivey.

I was expecting the same old Ronda hate schtick so props to TS for not going down that route, but did you honestly say Ronda should go back to school and into politics?

If Trump can be the POTUS Ronda can too!

There aren't enough acting classes in the world to make her into even just a servicable actress.

"Too childish to enter politics" - have you been watching this campaign?
Not sure what you're trying to get at here. I was quite clearly alluding to that with the part after what you quoted.

She got Gina Carano'ed. I mean if she does fights it would just be the fight against Holly. I could be wrong but I do not believe she has the passion. She was on top, shes made her money and has become a star.

Disagree, she won't come back but it'll be because her legacy as BW GOAT is already cemented, the only person to beat her got put to sleep by somebody she dominated twice.

So a grappler with limited striking gets knocked out by a striker with limited grappling who then gets submitted by a superior grappler, and that proves the original grappler is the better fighter? Got it. MMAth wins again.

I don't think she is coming back unless Miesha retains her title next Saturday. Then it's a maybe.

I do not think Ronda would refuse to fight Miesha. She knows how to beat her and it would make a huge difference in her legacy.

But if Nunes wins Ronda might not be willing to take the risk.

Shes coming back. Shes gonna win and your gonna hate it.

If not Rousey then who? I love it when people argue for the sake of arguing but never provide an alternative, Rousey is BW GOAT because she absolutely steam rolled everybody apart from one girl, all finishes.

I also think she wont come back, its a shame

haters got what they wanted I guess

Good point. I am conflicted on her legacy and whether or not a comeback is needed. On the one hand, she was destroying people so I think she has nothing left to prove. But on the other hand, her last fight and all the surrounding drama was awful.

I would not be shocked if RR goes into the octagon & calls out the champ on Sat.
Travis is fighting, so she should be there.

She will come back because of he payday she will receive. Simple as that.
