Why I like WMMA

WMMA can be entertaining, sure. I think the rate is lower than most men's divisions, but a good fight between two high test women, Instagram models, or a combo of both has its place, and makes up for some dull match ups between lower ranked men.

As for these women beating up "average men," perhaps this is so in reference to the average cubicle rat who goes home to eat garbage and wank to porn, seeing a gym only in their YouTube feed, but those aren't men. Generally men get beat up by women by surprise or fear of repercussion from other men. There is no need to deny biology because you want to fit in to contemporary society.

WMMA has been great, was very glad to see Dana and the Fertittas take that 135 division in the buyout of Strikeforce. The best part is that even though its starting to actually have a pecking order in the 3 divisions that it can change at a whim because its still so new. Shevchenko and Rose have bright futures and decent fan bases. Don't care for Nunes personally but she looks to be retiring soon anyway which will open up a spot for someone to run the 135 class.

The amount of demeaning things that are said about women on here from so called “fight fans” is disgusting but the fact is if you’re a true fight fan then you shouldn’t care about gender.

Men or women, I’m a true fight fan because I like MMA.

If you studied martial arts and understand all the little details and nuances of the fight game then you would appreciate it when two high-level caliber fighters get to display it in the octagon.

That’s why I don’t care about what Sherdoggers say cause most on here never trained MMA to make a educated comment and are just here to put others down. The uneducated so-called fan that think watching women fight is a kin to watching teenagers or kids spar is laughable.

These women fighters are the best in the world and would crush any average male in a real world fight. We also must appreciate that WMMA is a different style than MMMA just like how women’s tennis is different from men’s tennis. It seems like tennis fans understand this yet appreciate both style of games. Why can’t MMA fans?

We have proof that WMMA has potential. Ronda and Nunes hold some of the largest PPV numbers in the history of the UFC. Women just need a bigger platform to show it.

And to those that live on the other side of the world and complain that having WMMA bouts mean you have to stay up later into the night... continue to shed your tears cause us true fight fans are happily enjoying our MMA.

What would Buffy do ?
Unlike Ronda, Summers would defeat Cain under the right circumstances. She would get in the cage with Nunes and kick her head----clean off. I'm talking the sport would be shut down due to someone's head being ripped off the neck of this poor girl. The directional blood splatter would fill parts of the cage and several rows behind where the unfortunate passing of a human being would take place.

In all seriousness, I say give the gals time to evolve with a sport that's extremely brutal and especially in their case where infancy is still a word attached to their side of things.

Flip side of coin, I do respect a man's opinion that they're not big fans of watching gals really [ At the end of the day] putting it on each other. Whether you call it MMA or cage fighting.I mean, again, this is a brutal sport and if my wife all of a sudden said she'd want to make a go at this thing- - gotta be brutally honest, I wouldn't like it.
Just for record , have no problem with chick power and have no problems with women in today's world holding what we would call "power positions" in our world today in the year 2019.
I'm a little torn , however, on the whole cage fighting thing.

Let me clarify the point for you, Einstein. This is a capitalist society and fight promotions are businesses. If there was more money to be made with all-male promotions, then we'd see some. The UFC, Bellator, ONE Championship, etc... which of the major promotions have not opened up women's divisions? Huh? You'd have us believe that none of the dudes that run these promotions know how to maximize their profits, and that you're smarter than they are.

It's not sexism to want it on it's own program.
No other major sport switches in the middle of a game to allow women on the field to play the next quarter. Won't be long before this limp wristed country starts begging for it and causing a social cry fest. Groups come along, ruin something, then move on like a parasite to the next functioning host

I like MMA. I like men's and women's MMA. There are certain fighters I enjoy watching more than others, but the criteria for that is not based on fighter gender.

Some men just feel powerless and weak around women, so they take out those feelings impotent frustration/rage on this forum. I believe "incel" is the term used to describe them.

There are a handful of women that belong on main cards.

The rest do not, although I've seen some good wmma fights from lesser women.


Men don't always bring the heat, either. Ngannou/Lewis, for example. Derrick Lewis might be the.least skilled male not named Mickey Gall or Phil Brooks.



But it would be better if main cards were better quality, and that includes less wmma.

I find seeing women fight inspiring... If I hadn't started so late in life I'd be inspired to try and get to their level. What I've seen on these forums is a bunch of guys more interested in posting pics of scantily clad women than talking about actual martial arts. So it's not surprising there is a group that don't value women having skills in fighting and anything other than putting on makeup and dressing pretty. There have been good and bad fights with both male and female fights... I've seen it even at the amateur level. Girls being able to compete at the higher levels is still evolving and is only getting more popular. The caliber of the fighters will only improve this is illustrated by how rouseys been knocked out and replaced by younger and stronger competition. I'm glad the vocal minority of sexist males on this forum do not represent the majority of males otherwise society would be going backwards.

Beyond the top 3-5, WMMA is almost unwatchable. We as fans tune in to see the best of the best fight and it really kills it to see regional level skills in the premier MMA organization. So many of them have terrible technique and no power on their strikes. No sense of danger makes it boring to watch, you don’t feel like anybody could go out at any time like you do in men’s fights.

Troll thread obviously, but I've said before it would be interesting if the UFC put on all-female cards on PPV, just so we could get an estimate of how strong WMMA and it's champions are on their own merit without leeching off of regular MMA.

And how many of the "super duper ultra REAL fans" and the Army of White Knights actually parted with their money for the product.
