Why I believe the new pi institute should be in india not china.

Kharat Bandare is an Indian-born fighter, and still nobody cares about him, lol. He got stopped in one round by Song Y.

1.) Chinese traditional martial arts. is part of a nationalist movement of Chinese government. china doesn't take into foreign ideas as well.
2.) India are sports mad. if they have one Indian born fighter. they will hook on to the sport. for example
PV Sindhu a badminton player silver medalist in olympics on-court winnings last year totalled $500,000 (£387,000) but endorsements saw Sindhu bring in an extra $8m (£6.2m) in sponsorship in sports-mad India. That works out as a weekly income of $163,000 (£126,000). That is more than earned by Simona Halep, the WTA world number one as of 22 August, and the top seed for the 2018 US Open.
3.) india won 12 medals in wrestling at the commonwealth games. with boxing they won olympic medals and are competitve. even though china are more so however
4.) wrestling amatuer wrestlin already a massive sport in india, its probably a top 5 sport there.
5.) fewer regulations in India

But the PI isnt there to support just the athletes in that country, its a PI for that entire region (there will also be a european one).

China is a good central location for the whole of Asia and Australia. Athletes from China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand as well as Korea etc will be able to attend the PI in China. Hell, its even really easy for the Russian fighters to get there, the guys who normally train in Thailand will able to access it easily. Theres great air links for athletes wanting to go into China, and once you get there its easy to find accommodation of a good standard, travel around the cities is good etc. Its also fairly easy to get a long stay visa.

India is not nearly so central for all the asian athletes, the transport connections can be flakey, visa's are actually more of an issue than China, especially for Russians, Australians, they can only get fairly short stay limited visas. And once you are there the accommodation can be shite, and its not the safest place in the world. I have a feeling the local chinese staff are probably better as well.

China is a great central hub for all the Asian and Russian fighters. India is not.

It's easier for UFC to cultivate a Pakistani superstar from England. You get the muslim and Pakistani market at the same time.

Indians are all shit tier athletes, investing in that market is just a waste of time and money

im not saying that. just saying theres a lot of untapped talent there. and i personally think its gonna e ahrder for the ufc to tap in china compared to india.

the primary focus isnt to "tap china". The primary focus is to provide a central performance centre for ALL Asian, Australasian and Russian athletes.

Really India only gives a shit about Cricket.

They're not producing great athletes because they aren't mad for sports contrary to what TS states. The Indian diet doesn't exactly seem to be the best for athletes in regards to protein consumption that fuels recovery. Studies have been done measuring lean body mass in males from various races and Indians typically carry the least amount of muscle.

Poor health, poor diet, poor infrastructure, high importance placed on financial and academic success, and genetics all play a role in the plight of Indian athletics.

nonsense. China got some of the biggest and most successful Kickboxing promotions in the world (and they do like 300 events a year, varying in size), and is also showing big interest in mma.

yes, 95% of chinese people were on the side of the mma fighter. Kunlun Fight does bunch of MMA fights already, and many of their national kickboxing stars even tried out mma. there is a new found combat sport craze in China the last couple years.

they dont just care about cricket. in the uk. soem of our best athletes come from south asian backgrounds so that bollocks. just the state dont pump money into education or sports. Curd, beans, lentils, chicken, fish or meat not only provide essential amino acids, but are also good sources of healthy fats and is low in calories. Therefore, it is safe to say that a typical Indian meal comprises of good carbs, healthy natural protein and resistant starch. I find your statement very uneducated sorry.

india only likes cricket.

just like sri lanka.

The Great Gama is literally the only Indian fighter I know about, and he's probably the best one, despite being dead for 58 years.
