Why Hendo and Silva getting lighter?

Hendo weighed 199 vs DC. Silva 198. Is it because they are getting old or stricter testing?

Dan Henderson weighed about 198 pounds for his Pride fight versus Yuki Kondo, in year 2004.

Anderson Silva weighed 205 for his 205 pound fight with Forrest, which suggests he cut weight but that's only a guess and we don't know from what weight (could be from 207, 208 pounds, 215 pounds). Anderson carries a bit of bodyfat, which may explain his fluctuating weight. Also his 198 pounds was post-surgery, I'm no doctor but maybe he changed his diet or lost appetite or was recovering post-surgery and didn't weigh as much as usual. The 230 pounds was an exaggeration by Soares, imo.

More weight isn't always good weight. You can react just as badly to competeing with more weight than you can after a bad weight cut.
 
They're old and have low T, at this point.

It's not rocket surgery.
 
For fuck sake, Hendo has always been around that weight even in pride. Google.

It is interesting that Anderson wasn't much smaller than Bonnar when they fought but since then he broke his leg and couldn't train for months, got older, and can't use IVs. Hendo is off his TRT treatment that's why he looks about the size he did in the beginning of his career.

Few years ago Hendo said he couldn't make 185 healthy because he's too big. Now his tune has changed.

I think silva is still very dark. For Hendo, I think he trained indoor for his previous fight
