It's probably old news, but I kinda got the itch to make the topic. It's really interesting to me how Fedor's name is spelled like that, someone probably coined it like that years ago and it stayed.
The thing is, he's got the same first name as Dostoevsky, for example. But their names are spelled differently in English. And Dostoevsky's name is spelled more correctly and closer to the right pronounciation. He's Fyodor, not Fedor. The pronounciation is [ˈfʲɵdər].
