Apparantely dustin poirer only won because they were stood up.

Except if someone believes they are a better fighter than someone, then something like being stood up shouldn't change the outcome of the fight at all as they can just take them down again.

Instead of being thankful that they didnt disqualify him, like they did Jones, he complains that he gets stood up with no penalty. Was Alvarez close to finishing poirer at all? He was laying on top of him doing minimal damage. On top of that, in a minute Poirer would have broken free anyway.

He did an illegal strike , got away with it with little consequence then got finished by the better fighter.

Sir Edward Alvarez

He didn't "get away" with the elbow doofus. I agree that position wasn't about to finish the fight for him though and he needs to STFU and quit crying.

Overall agree, but there was a different story with Jones.

First he had a point deducted.
Then the idiot referee came to Hamill and asked him if he can continue. Hamill (deaf) had blood covering his eyes, therefore couldn't see referee's lips and didn't respond.
So, fight was stopped and Jones DQd

respect to eddie but he needs to learn to stop fighting like a jackass.

Moreover, he got stood up after clawing Dustin’s ears multiple times and grabbing the cage multiple times.

But your point is of course valid. If you get ktfo by a guy, there is not much you can say that’ll make it better.

I really dislike Eddie. He's such a sore loser. Can't accept the fact that he's not the top dog, likely barely top 5. Guy got smoked in the first fight before throwing illegal moves. Eddie had no excuse to throw that downward elbow, everyone knows it's illegal no matter who tells you to throw it. If he didn't think there was an issue with the strike why would he throw it on his shoulder instead of his head? Dustin even said it didn't affect him. That and the face that Dustin said the whole fight Eddie was cheating like grabbing the cage and shoving his fingers in his ears shows that Eddie doesn't believe he can win with his current skills.

Lol. Fucking Eddie was sitting there in full mount against the cage and had his hands behind Dustin grabbing the fence, then he throws an illegal elbow, and he's seriously whining?

Strategy brah..<seedat>

This was a sad fight to watch since it's the first one where Alvarez lost aggression when in good positions. For a fighter who relies on heart to outlast his opponent it's a sign of being shot. Wouldn't have won no matter what, the fire wasn't there.
