Why don't they build giant tanks like in Captain America the first avenger?

I mean...this seems like a pretty good idea. Right?

Because we don't have a real life Howard Stark.

They DID build giant tanks like in captain american the first avenger

They sucked ass and were promptly thrown in the garbage

The Nazi's wanted to do this back in the day

Thing would've gotten eaten alive by airstrikes though. Plus you wouldn't be able to move it over bridges or transport it by train. Shit'd be breaking down every 5 minutes as well probably

Then they would need giant planes and ships to transport them

we dont need bigger tanks, you can drone those into wrecks, we need giant space battleships to finally meet aliens in space, and kill them, because this is OUR universe

I'm not sure airstrikes could've done anything against something like that back in the day. I could be wrong though.

But that's a great point about transporting it. I didn't think about that.

Probably too heavy and run out of gas after moving a football field's length.

doesnt accomplish anything a much, much cheaper airstrike could accomplish

not cost effective

As @Zer said, they thought about it and quickly understood it was a shitty idea

I'd rather them build supersoldiers like Captain America than giant ass tanks.
