I think the fighters have all mutually agreed that they are not to be used. Like the 12-6 Elbow, a Karate Chop is far too destructive. We do not want UFC fighters heads exploding on live TV.

The Karate Chop is not even trained in 99% of MMA gyms. Even the trainers are involved in outlawing the move. Think of the Karate Chop like a Varon-T Disruptor beam weapon in Star Trek. We can't have that shit going on!
