I'm think this would be especially effective for ground and pound. It'd be so easy to land even from the bottom position. It doesn't require any wind up and comes at a difficult angle to defend.

Yeah. Even if it doesn't get a KO, look how much it disorients the other guy. He's a sitting duck for KO by punches after that. I'm picturing you're in someone's guard, you karate chop the neck, he's stunned, and then you just rain down punches for the finish while he can't defend himself.

There are plenty of real "deadly" attacks that are banned. Eye rakes, biting, fish hooking, etc. Not all that stuff is nonsense.

Not one of them are deadly, and fish hooking is illegal because it involves putting your fingers in someone's mouth, no one ever died from fish hooking mate.

Biting someone's throat or wrist will kill them.

Eye raking I guess isn't deadly but man it sucks to have your eyes ripped out. I'd probably kill myself.

Same with how disfigured I'd be after being fish hooked.
