Why don't fighters like Johny Walker use a high guard?

Lol, another idiot that can't read. I can see why you're upset now.

Mayweather is the boxing GOAT because of his natural abilities that were honed, disciplined and mastered by an amazing coaching staff surrounding him his whole career. Outside of that he is a complete moron. Just like Tyson, just like Jon Jones etc...

Floyd took a huge risk buying himself out of his contract with Bob Arum for around $850,000.
Floyd then fought De La Hoya and on to making more money than anyone else in boxing history.
De La Hoya, Pacquaio, Canelo, Cotto, Hatton were all huge, huge fights.

Well, Yan can do it, but Yan is an exceptionally skilled fighter.

It's obviously not impossible to defend against body shots and takedowns with a high guard, but other things equal, it's probably a little more difficult to defend them with a high guard than if you have a low hands style like Bobby Green.
You can use both. Each style can still defend take downs. Low hands does make it easier since your hands are already low to frame, get underhooks, grab the arms/body/face, whizzer, etc.

I don't understand why people like Johny Walker fight at all. It's like a casino for them, where they either flatline their opponents in 3 minutes or get flatlined in about that time. The ultimate prize is CTE.

This might come as a surprise to you but these fighters that choose to get repeatedly hit in the head for a career aren't usually the best and brightest of the bunch. This is why they rely on and pay a lot of money for quality coaching. Great examples of this are Mayweather and Mike Tyson. Both guys are completely brain dead but they had some of the best coaching and discipline and as a result, they were invincible (While Tyson was under Cus D'mato's wing).

Johnny Walker has never had a great coaching team around him and hence his skills have remained stagnant and around the same level as when he first came into the UFC. If he doesn't get cut, sure, he might hit another can or debutant with a flying knee but until he actually makes positive changes and moves to a quality camp that is all he will ever amount to.

Umm Tyson and Mayweather had no money when they had their trainers. Wtf are you talking about paying big money?
Tyson was pretty much homeless and broke when Cus took him in, and Floyd didn't pay anything until he already honed his skills training.

And Floyd naturally has good fight IQ, he can do adjustments in real-time in fights, that is a level of intelligence you can't coach into a fighter.

The best coach in the world won't turn Walker into a world beater like Mayweather or Tyson.

Seriously?
- he has very exciting KOs
- he gets KTFO in a very exciting way
- usually, his fights don't go to a decision

"The ultimate prize is CTE" - so what? yeah, that's the bad side of fighting. But for the viewers it doesn't matter much, the fans want KOs, submissions and violence
