I can’t see any real reason for fighters not to cheat more — there’s basically no downside to it.
  1. You get at least two free eye pokes or groin shots every fight without any penalty (or more if the ref’s blind).
  2. Most of the blame (from media, fans, your boss, other fighters,...) goes to your opponent if they decide to quit.
  3. The worst punishment you’ll get is a no-contest (basically a draw).
  4. Even if they decide to keep fighting, you still get a clear advantage.
  5. If it’s a title fight, you usually get an immediate rematch —> more money, less work.
  6. Your opponent might even be at a disadvantage in the rematch thanks to the damage from your eye poke or groin shot

What do you mean? They do. But I would like to see more well roundedness in this regard. Tired of fighters only focusing on eyepokes or low blows. Mix it up. You want to see a masterclass? Watch Usman. Offensive fouls of all kinds while faking fouls of the opponent to catch a break. This is how you can even use it to win entire fights.

What good from getting the fight stopped as NC or DQ lol?

I dunno if it is just the Sherdog bubble - but if the mainstream MMA fandom is anything like the near consensus seems to be here, that the one who gets fouled is to blame if anything goes "wrong" with the fight - then, yes...

Anyone who does not cheat is an idiot, cause the POS scumbags without honor or humanity we, the fandom, are not only do not care. They actively celebrate your antics and shenanigans.

I guess they can't see it cause they ain't got the balls.

And what about biting? They need to bite more. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

Palm on face should be banned and should be a point deduction if it causes eyepoke on first offence. Zero warning. If they did that I guarantee it would cut down on eyepoke by 99%.

now you can't push people in fights lol

They have replays and since the fighter gets 5 mins to recover, might as well let the ref use it to decide whether to take a point or not.
