Why does't anybody oblique kick Jones?

I'm rewatching some of his fights and nobody bothers, while it isn't that hard of a kick. Especially the lengthier fighters like Gus and Osp could have done it.

Maybe because of the leg catch for the takedown? But then again, i have never seen the oblique kick catched.

it's hard to do when you're the one getting oblique kicked from outside your range by Jon's long ass legs.

Because he goes for the eyes as soon as someone lifts their little toe.

Yeah maybe for the shorter reach fighters, but Gus and Osp could have just tried it. I think it's strange. They could throw him of his game with them and distract them and after that explode into the inside and land something hard.

Because the dude's an octopus and his limbs are moving at all times. Dude's the most unpredictable fighter at the moment. Seriously, though, with the skinnier legs, having someone put some weight behind the kick, they could really do some damage on Jones' twigs.

Lol that is like saying why doesn't someone take gsp down????

Because that would require you to get within jons reach and anytime you do that, Jon oblique kicks you. It's a vicious circle really...

because his arm reach is longer than most fighters leg reach.

Some fighters don't know how to do it correctly and they probably dont train it. That and Jones has good takedowns to many rarely leg kick him to begin with. I honestly havn't seen fighters that damaged by it.

because he's just a better fighter than his opponents.

Because Dhalsim isn't in the UFC and noone else has the reach to do it.

its hard to oblique kick someone while blind
