Okay fine, most people did not know who Khabib was; while certainly, very few did.

His instagram followers went up more than 20X since he fought Conor.
So what happened? did so many people who were completley NEUTRAL before that fight, having no knowledge of Khabib previously, decide that beating Conor's ass ever so profuciously was so entertaining they became his fans?

Or was that Conor's fanbase outright switching sides after seeing their hero and his team so besmirched and desecrated?

When he's asked. Conor keeps mentioning Khabib when no one is asking him. Your idol is an egotistical moron who can not fathom that the world of MMA is passing him by. He will never rematch Khabib, he knows Khabib is better than him and it eats him, everywhere. He simply can't stand it. Khabib despite, his fame has a more stable life than Conor and he chose it that way, unlike Conor who said couple of times he doesnt like fame but still makes sure everyone talks about him daily.

Lol, Conor hasn't talked about Khabib for years unless Khabib talked about him. And Conor definitely likes fame.

Situation 1, him beating Conor made him a star among a lot of casuals. Mostly people who aren't American though. Khabib is more popular on the international scene. His PPV numbers were not that big even after beating Conor because PPVs are mostly purchased by U.S. fans and Khabib doesn't have a lot of them.

Khabib probably can't let things go, even after beating McGregor and embarrassing him. I suppose that's just his personality. Probably one of those guys that's great to you, but holds animosity if you crossed him somehow. That's a fairly normal response for someone you don't like.

It's not common to take the high road and let things go.

Conor's fans left in droves. I saw their tears on OCT 6 2018. I saw them pulling out their hair that their hero gave up,fairly easily. That all he really had was fouls. I think Conor's numbers are just people tuning in to see the humiliation at this point.

He does all these interviews about how he's mentally strong and doesn't hold grudges even against McGregor though. I'd respect Khabib more if he just comes out and says he's still mad at McGregor but he needs to keep up his image.

Are you kidding? Conor gets like a million likes everytime he posts something. When he fought Poirier, people booed Poirier throughout the entire fight build up.

He is not short on fans at all.

Bots,im sure.

Bots,im sure.

You realize proper 12 also skyrocketed in value after he lost to Khabib right?

That fight had very little effect on his promotional value/fan base.

Heck, he punched a old man over proper 12 and his fans didn't care at all and still bought the whiskey

Kabib is the textbook example of a hypocrite and proves this over and over again.

he wants to be the calm, intelligent and mature guy who has all his emotions under control but the second someone says something he doesn’t like his temper awakes and he is more than willing to engage. And no, its not because he doesnt take no crap, its just a permanent tamper when you have to shot on social media…

Doubt it's a sinking ship, you realize there are pictures of McGregor leaving the Poirier fight on a stretcher on his instagram right?

The guy promoted the fact his leg got broken, and it probably got him even more fans.

The biggest PPV that McGregor will sell will probably be his return fight, everyone is going to tune in to see if he can make a comeback, doubt it even matters who he returns to fight.

If UFC gives him a can and he crushes the person on his return fight, he's gonna be at the highest level in terms of popularity in his career.

I thought his true colors were easily shown when he couldn't control his rage and jumped over the cage to attack people even after he won the fight lol. Definitely not a calm, and mature person who is in control of their emotions like he always says he is.

Why would someone get more fans for breaking their leg?

I honestly think khabib is just taunting him......which is exactly what i would do after McGregor talked so much shit lol.....you wanna talk shit you can be ridiculed constantly for it.....Fedor never sat against the cage screaming at the ref to make it a doctor stoppage cus days earlier he said only KOs count

Same reason why some chicks think scars are cool. It's all about how you promote an injury, and if you have been following Conor's social media, he's milking his problem leg.

You can laugh at his videos where he's doing chin ups and trying to stand, but it's gathering a lot of positive fan reaction. Conor if anything is a show men, and the world is going to tune in to see if he can make it back into the UFC.

I could be wrong, but I'd wager his return fight is going to do potentially his biggest numbers yet.

Khabib vs. McGregor happened in 2018, almost 3 years ago, and yet Khabib keeps bringing up Conor lately.

For example; Khabib decides to tweet out

"Good always defeats Evil" after Dustin beat McGregor, basically calling McGregor evil
That prompted that comment from McGregor about " is Covid good and Father evil?"

Then more recently, he decides to bring up McGregor again on Tyson's podcast and talks about eating his heart. Which again prompted McGregor to respond.

Why does Khabib keep bringing up McGregor? Does he want some kind of social media beef with McGregor?

What do you think?

to rub it in the faces of groupies like you ?
