Why does Joe Hogan always sound so condescending when talking to Ariel Helwani?

This shit just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe im reading too much into it but Hogan was just on MMA Hour today with Schaub/Callen and it just feels like he talks down on him from his tone. Am i the only one noticing this?

Also when Ariels podcast hit 300 Hogans message at the end was very off putting too:

6:24

Dana at 7.52

You're looking into things too much here, TS.

#ArielBless

Joe is still on the UFC payroll, so he mimics Dana's put downs of Ariel.

Ariel sounds condenscending to fans in real life

I was gonna say that your reading 2 much into it but i still havent watched todays MMA hour ... so ill abstain my comment on this till then.

Because he takes his Alpha Brain every morning.

I wonder who is p4p best fighter on the planet today according to Rogan? he seems to come up with a new one everyday. He has called Aldo, Jones, Mouse, Barao p4p best in the last 18 months, fact. I wonder who it is now. UFC 198 was so refreshing without his constant hype nonsense. "He's hurt, he's hurt, he's hurt mike".. then 2 seconds later giving tactical analysis of their fence work.

Joe Rogan, for as far back in the early 90s has always been a condescending individual. Wether this is his actual persona or one that is for the camera, well only confidants of his would know that. I wouldn't myself know for certain. However, my personal opinion of him is one of contempt. I respect his absolute knowledge of MMA in general, as he has been around the MMA scene for well over 20 years now and does sound coherent. But, lately he has become a "corporate" bullhorn and i guess its coming from the "top" with his fawning verbal exploits of Ronda and McGregor. Saw something i didnt like when he did Fear Factor, and i usually ignore him when i watch the UFC generally. So my final point is that i consider Joe Rogan to be...legitmately mundane.

Sounds like Joe is tap dancing on an insecurity that TS may have

Im a Hogan fan not really sure that has anything to do with an insecurity. I dont relate to Ariel at all. Doesnt seem like ur armchair psychology PhD was right on this one.

Same here. I usually get to the mma hour in the evening. I'll be looking for it.

As for the episode 300 vid, he definitely seems like a dick- but he could simply be joking. He's a comedian, so he gets the benefit of the doubt. Of course, it's entirely possible that he is using his comedian's license to be a dick.

Even If he's simply going for laughs, it seems dickish.

You felt the need to make a thread about it. I'm in the ballpark

I just think that Ariel makes people uncomfortable by confronting them about the status of their relationship on film like he does.. I like the guy n all, but it's awkward to watch; I'm not surprised Rogan feels weirded out by Ariel being needy all the time,

maybe because ariel's knowledge of the sport is zero? the guy is a great journalist when it comes to drama, silly story lines and TMZ like bullshit, for him MMA is nothing but a glorified form of professional wrestling.

TBO I don't really watch his stuff and whatever I've seen of him leads me to believe that he's a douche.

I can be totally wrong, but it is my opinion from what I've seen from him.
