Why does ear wax smell so good?

In Tokyo, they have these girls in kimonos who clean your ears for like $20 USD. You lay your head down in her lap, and she has these small wooden spoons and stuff and cleans your ears. I think you would dig it.

I actually love the feeling of using qtips. My wife will occasionally clean my ears for me. She also trims the back of my neck and it feels glorious!

Boogers, and loogies, and snot smell really bad. It smells like crap almost. Also the dirt in my belly button smells bad too.

I like the drops for ear wax. They pop and crackle in your ear

Wouldn't gravity make some earwax fall deeper into the ear?
