Yes to most of those. I am white, and I get followed around stores constantly like I am going to steal something (never stolen anything in my life) The police don't pull me over for the smallest things, they just pull me over for no reason at all. I get treated like shit at business and restaurants almost every time I visit them, but not because of my skin color.

I can say yes to almost everything you asked. I am a white male.......but dreadlocks and tattoos.

I also never saw a black man in a fur coat driving a Cadillac using food stamps to buy steaks for his dog. I did see a white man in a fur coat driving a Lincoln trading food stamps for drugs once. Then the white dude gave the dealer a steak as a bonus and then his dog ended up consuming half of it.

You don't have to have another "skin color" (as you stated) to experience these things.
If anyone says the same thing doesn't happen to anyone that is a white anglo saxon looking mofo.........then they are obviously the blind "racist" one.

It is an insult in his mind. I find it very low-brow. Used in a different way it would have an entirely different connotation. For instance if I were to start a thread titled: Who do you think are the best Mexican mma fighters? there would be no outcry.

I'm actually unclear what you're talking about.

It seems to me like you're saying America makes race a much bigger issue than other countries. That's precisely my point -- that race is an issue in America because we're more diverse. But if you compare America 50-100 years ago vs today there's a very, very clear shift toward civility and understanding. And much of the discussion about race is aimed toward destroying the remnants of racism.

And much of the tension you see today is the final backlash of a dying racist culture. Pretty much every time human culture evolves, things come to a boiling point just before the major change kicks in.

I've visited many other countries. I've never seen one that made racism as taboo as America does. You should see the signs for Chinese restaurants in Mexico. That shit simply would not fly here.

The fact that there even is a BLM movement seems to help my point as well.

I think that shows the kind of "racism" I'm talking about, though. When you come from a country with very few black people, a country that historically is pretty damn intolerant, it's easy for me to see how he literally just doesn't know how to act around other races. He's not trying to be mean, and he's not doing it out of some racial superiority complex, he's just doing it out of... I guess "ignorance" is the right word.

But when it comes to racism, I always considered ignorance much less deplorable than true malice.
